Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage treatment nhs

miscarriage

Avatar f tn Anyway, to get to the point, I am seeing a gynaecologist on nhs in over a week as scan showed possible polyp. Can anyone tell me if the gynaecologist or even my GP would let me have my hormones checked after one m/c. I know usually a woman has to experience 3 m/c's before investigative blood work is done but I thought that was more for immunity rather than hormones.
Avatar n tn It sounds like a miscarriage. You would have to go to your Dr. to find out for sure.
572651 tn?1530999357 Natalizumab (Tysabri) is licensed for use in the UK and has been approved for treatment on the NHS for those meeting the NICE recommendations (rapidly evolving, severe, relapsing remitting MS). People who are currently receiving treatment with Tysabri, but for whom treatment would not be recommended under the NICE guidelines will have the option to continue therapy until they and their physicians consider it appropriate to stop. What is the 'Risk Sharing Scheme'?

1459828 tn?1287060343 When I was first pregnant I was seriously sick, nothing else, when I was 10 weeks my nausea stopped, at 11 weeks I had a miscarriage, so it can be a bad sign, but my miscarriage was caused by stress, so I wouldn't worry too much. Besides you still have gas and are emotional, so you still have symptoms.
Avatar f tn Root canel treatment need to be done but dentist says it is too long a procedure for them to do under NHS. What can I do until next Monday when hopefully I will be able to get it treated.
1035252 tn?1427227833 I know the nhs here in the uk is cash strapped as it is, but I think the 3 miscarriage rule stinks before they will test. I lost my first 2 pregnancies, 1 at 16 weeks due to a birth defect, 2nd a 8 weeks, missed miscarriage and my 3rd at 6 weeks a natural miscarriage. Because our first baby was not miscarried we were told you will need to lose another pregnancy before we will consider testing and then it depends on the circumstances.
Avatar f tn m not going to have a baby I feel like I keep letting my partner down.
Avatar n tn Is the cold sore a sign of HIV - unfortunately whilst looking for info on cold sore treatment I read on the NHS direct web site that it may be! I am showing signs of OCD? Thanks Again and I look forward to hearing back from you shortly. Best regards..
Avatar f tn also we have requested appointment for dermatologist who does private treatment as well as NHS but NHS has got long waiting list so she might go as private.
Avatar n tn Easier said than done dean, trying to get an appointment is nigh and impossible, the personal gp doctor cant seem to rush things through either, ive spoken to another couple of people in the same boat and it seems a month for a scan seems normal, well thats the sorry state of our NHS i suppose, only other option is to go private. The only bonus is the use of the hand is starting to come back now. I expect she will be back to normal by the time the scan comes around.
Avatar f tn m at work and just came back from tge bathroom where I noticed some light spotting of blood. I just had a miscarriage back in May and I was cramping pretty bad last night. I have a Dr appt tomorrow at 10a but am wondering if I should take a trip to the ER tonight to make sure everything is ok?
Avatar f tn Here its the good old NHS, which yeah is great in a sense but sometimes very poor, they dont listen to anything you say just fob you of with tablets. Don't know how many times i'm going to have to go back with this i'm sick of being sick. How come you know so much you sound more of a doctor than my doctor lol. Thankyou for replying, again, hope i find answers soon.
Avatar f tn That's a tough question to answer. I would say that the dentist should have quite a few techniques and different types of anesthetics that they could attempt to use to "numb" the area. But I can't specifically say what he/she has since I'm not there to observe. That's unfortunate you're not able to switch dentists. There's no process to find another dentist at all within the NHS system? I'm assuming the NHS system is based in Great Britain?
Avatar n tn Hi I am from the UK but currently live in the US so know how both systems work. I would recommend seeing the specialist privately in the UK. It's usually not too expensive and you can be seen within days. For something like your eyes, this is a good investment believe me. In the US, you can see whoever you want......but believe me also when I tell you the bills are scary. Even with insurance! Don't hate on the NHS just yet.
Avatar n tn Well you're still at a higher risk for miscarriage if you're only 11 weeks and cramping and bleeding are signs if miscarriage..
Avatar f tn In the United Kingdom they will only start testing after 3 miscarriage. If you have a 3 miscarriage then the NHS has NO Choice, but to carry out all the investigations for you, It's NHS Policy, that after 3 miscarriages in a row they have to carry out the full investigations. You must go to you're doctor and advise him that your entitled to be investigations now, since you had 3 in a row, he/she cannot refuse you. If this is the case change your doctor.
