Avatar n tn At any rate, of course it is possible that you may get pregnant. However, if you have been having infertility treatment for two years and are still not pregnant, I wonder if you should not consider more aggressive treatment than just a fertility pill with inseminations, particularly if you have regular periods without fertility medication, and particularly if you have used fertility pills in the past.

Avatar n tn Sorry to know about your miscarraige. What was the cause of your miscarriage? Immunological, hormonal (low progesterone) and chromosomal all can cause miscarriages. If it was a treatable cause it is best to take complete treatment for the condition. It has already been 6 years and you are unable to conceive so it is best to consult an infertility expert. Blocked tubes, PID, ovulation dysfunction all can cause infertility. Low sperm count, decreased sperm motility all can affect fertility.

It may also be used to minimise the overgrowth of the womb lining due to oestrogen (the main female sex hormone) in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) following menopause.

Avatar f tn That is extraordinarily rare. The statistic is very low and I think you are right to be skeptical. What does the infertility stem from? Was the abortion late in term? Scar tissue would have to be substantial to create a situation like this and the ONLY time I've heard of that happening is if A. you had an infection following the abortion and didn't seek treatment or B. you've had multiple abortions (as in at least 3). I'd get a second opinion.
Avatar f tn Hi, Clomiphene is used as a treatment of infertility which means difficulty in getting pregnant. However it is not a treatment for pregnancy loss which means miscarriage or IUD. For pregnancy loos you need to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation. The responsible factors need to be corrected before attempting another pregnancy. The reasons can be maternal infections and medical problems in the mother or it can be cervical incompetence or chromosomal abnormalities. Consult a Doctor.

So I would call your doctor and have him/her do an ultrasound.

Avatar f tn hi ive been trying to conceive since my miscarriage last year would you recommend i start taking DHEA
Avatar m tn Hi, I can understand your problem. The treatment for infertility can become prolonged over several months and even years. This can be quite frustrating. Also now you have had a miscarriage, but you need to keep your cool and follow the prescribed treatment. A second opinion can be sought from an infertility expert. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck.
367100 tn?1330914725 Treating hypothyroidism is an important part of any effort to correct infertility. Although hypothyroidism may cause infertility, treatment of hypothyroidism with thyroid hormone replacement therapy may not fully restore fertility. Other interventions may be needed to treat infertility even after hypothyroidism is treated. If you have hypothyroidism and become pregnant, tell your doctor promptly. Close monitoring of your thyroid hormone levels during pregnancy is important.
472084 tn?1207452463 If you are being given clomid and the gonadotropin shot for unexplained infertility, then it would be best to combine the treatment with intrauterine insemination at the time of ovulation. Is this happening? If so, your chances each month are about 8%, with a 20%-25% chance of being pregnant after three months. If this is your problem, you might want to consider other treatment options if not pregnant after three months of trying.
