My second IUI on clomid, with trigger I got pregnant, but had an early miscarriage. I had pregnancy symptoms from about 1 week after IUI. My third IUI on femara, with trigger, I got pregnant. I am now 6 weeks pregnant and it looks like it's sticking so far. I have had no pregnancy symptoms with this one except for slightly sensitive boobs. Hope this help.

My dr told me that success rates are around 8% with injectibles (like Follistim) and iui. I would think Clomid would have about the same success rate. If you notice, clinics publish their ivf success rates, but not their iui success rates... That said, I do know someone who got pregnant with iuis twice (on the second try each time). She was on pretty high doses of injectibles (225 follistim). I would ask your dr about his or her success rates. Good luck!

If your FSH is under 10, clomid or fermara is likely with timed intercourse or an IUI. If you FSH is over 10, then you will get the donor egg speech, ignore it please. Too many time doctors give us no hope and many women have gotten pregnant with a elevated fsh. Let us know how it goes!

I was on Clomid but asked my RE about Letrozole because I have a friend who got pregnant twice on second round of IUI with Letrozole. RE said it was merely doctor preference. My RE has higher success rates with clomid so that's what he prescribes, but his partner in the same clinic uses Letrozole almost exclusively. I'm sure that wasn't very helpful... but thought I'd share.

Yes i know what you mean. I had that one failed iui with Clomid. Had 9 cycles of failed Clomid. When i had it done, i kinda know it's not working. True enough. And my obgyn wanted me to go for a few more iuis. I told him no. I wanna be seen by a specialist which is a good thing. Had a more thorough check up and went for a laparoscopy surgery. I had an inflamed right tube and the doc believed it was preventing me from getting pregnant and it had to be removed.

I went in same day and did the iui they told me to come in the next day for another iui. After 2nd iui on Monday 4/30 doctor saw that I had ovulated and made my appointment for 2 weeks 5/14 day after mothers day :-) I am now feeling crampiing and bloated and my boobs are sore. Does anyone know if having double iui increases my chance of getting pregnant? Does having a miscarriage affect the second iui?

it depends if you are doing them with IUI, IVF or timed intercourse.... i took gonal F with no trigger for IUI and it did not result in a pregnancy (although i did have 3 good follicles produced) i did gonal F with menopur after lupron suppresion and with hcg trigger and IVF this cycle and am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant.

I am planning to do the IUI Baby, how safe this baby, comparing with normal baby growth.
