Avatar f tn All kinds of numbers and miscarriage rates are running around out there after a heart beat is seen, I have seen from 5 to 10% quoted. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and things are going great. Hope this helps, not sure there is an answer.

Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage last month which caused me to bleed for almost 2 weeks.. a few days after I finally stopped TMI but I had the strangest CM it was clear and super stretchy like more then normal for me. Could this be a good sign? Has anyone gotten pregnant the month after a miscarriage?? I wish the last pregnancy would have took but I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason so I was oddly ok with it all.
Avatar f tn There is some data suggesting that implantation rates are lower with IVF; and miscarriage rates are higher for women with MTHFR. So, it is one of the things that REs like to treat prophyllactically. Biochemically speaking, the Folic acid theory is sound, and extra folic acid is unlikely to cause problems. Aspirin at that dosage is unlikely to "hurt" either.
Avatar f tn I have been through miscarriage a few times myself. At this early stage it is not unlike what you are already experiencing...some cramping, much like your period accompanied by heavier then normal bleeding. Physically it is not too bad...it is the emotional aspect that is difficult for some (such as myself) to cope with. If you find yourself going through this, please know you are not alone. Unfortunately many of us have been there and we are pretty good people to talk to and lean on.
Avatar f tn I had a missed miscarriage four months ago @ 13 weeks. Had no sign of miscarriage, no bleeding or cramping at all! Went to my regular check up & found out the babies heart was no longer beating:( Your little ones heart rate seems strong!! If you haven't had any big issues with this pregnancy I would not worry!!! I had issues with progesterone being low in the beginning so they think that was a sign! :/ Just enjoy it & try to relax!
552389 tn?1280546208 Who out there has dealt with the loss of a child recently and would like to join a happy post for those TTC??? I think so many of us need something to look forward to and are always looking for somewhere to turn. I don't know about you, but sometimes it's hard to go to the pregnancy forums if you've had a miscarriage and aren't pregnant yet.
Avatar f tn Higher rates of fetal loss are associated with lower fetal heart rates; survival is zero at heart rates below 85 bpm at 6 to 8 weeks of gestation. That said a normal heart rate (110s-160s) by 8 weeks gestation confers a much better prognosis. A repeat sonogram to detect the fetal heart in 3-4 weeks will be helpful. Best regards, Dr.

Avatar n tn I'm not juding people with the HSV infection. It's really easy to get, you don't have to be a promiscuous person to get it. Just looking at all the angles, as 2worried said. I think he's right about learning a lesson too. Hopefully in a month (the three month mark) I'll test negative again- a shot at redemption. Anyways, this website has been very reassuring, but it seems too much so...
Avatar f tn It can theoretically cause birth problems because it's a live vaccine. I'm no doctor but I did some research on the subject when getting my MMR shot in 2012. Please read the Center for Disease Control's info. A study done in the 70s and 80s didn't show an increase in Congenital Rubella Syndrome. Also the rates for miscarriage didn't increase when compared to the general population. It might make you feel better. Ask your doctor for more up to date info.
Avatar f tn At 6 weeks I had an ultrasound done and we did not see the heartbeat, it was just too early. At 9 weeks there was a nice strong heartbeat! I've had a missed miscarriage and it is very possible to have no heartbeat and no bleeding or in fact no sign of a miscarriage, that's why it's called a missed miscarriage. With how early you are I'd say relax and wait for the next scan and see what is really going on.
Avatar f tn 5 weeks pregnant then it is too low and there is a high risk of miscarriage. Can anyone tell me what the chances are that I may have ovulated late and that I am not as far a long as I might think or if this situation means miscarriage for sure. The only things I can find on the internet talk about low fetal heart rate seem like there is a 100% chance of miscarriage.
Avatar n tn t know your age but that would be informative as you are asking about confounding issues. The two confounders are that with increasing age miscarriage rates increase (most commonly due to an increase in chromosomal abnormalities secondary to aging oocytes), and with increasing age the menstrual cycle can begin to vary in length by 7 days or more.
Avatar f tn I visited my OBGYN on 2/18/08 for first routine OB visit. I was slightly concerned since I had been spotting for 5 days - started out brown and light pink, and now sometimes has a little bit of stringy red in it(also, I noticed a faint foul smell to this bloody discharge when I changed my pad). By my LMP (12/20/07), I should be 9 weeks today.
Avatar m tn Sorry to hear about the miscarriage and this cyst. Cysts can grow at different rates. If it is truly a dermoid, it will not go away on its own and will need to be surgically removed. Here is a website that may be helpful - http://ovaryresearch.com/ovarian_cysts.htm.
Avatar f tn I've just found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant at 46!!!. I'm delighted and so is my husband but I'm absolutely shocked to be pregnant at all (thought it was menopause) and very worried about the miscarriage rates for this age group, which I've read is as high as 50%. I don't smoke or drink, I watch what I eat and am taking preg vitamins. All of my blood tests were great and this is baby number 7. Others are between 27 - 6 yrs.
