miscarriage

Avatar f tn All kinds of numbers and miscarriage rates are running around out there after a heart beat is seen, I have seen from 5 to 10% quoted. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and things are going great. Hope this helps, not sure there is an answer.
655897 tn?1328018445 Since we are all around the same time, what is yoru baby's heart rate? At my 6 week 5 day ultrasound, the heart rate was 120. Then at 8 weeks it was 158 and today at 8 weeks 6 days it was 168. Just thought we could compare!
2118793 tn?1342449463 Ive heard you are more fertile after a miscarriage. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and I hope your next pregnancy is a healthy smooth 9 months.
Avatar f tn I was surfing around ( cause I was worrying about 2 trimester mc rates) and found this site http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/pregnancy-articles/337.html Hope it helps ease someones mind.
Avatar n tn I was wondering about the miscarriage rate for that age and whether there is a difference in rates between Donor Egg and regular IVF? Also, does the rate chnge depending on how far along you are in the pregnancy? Thank you!
Avatar f tn There is some data suggesting that implantation rates are lower with IVF; and miscarriage rates are higher for women with MTHFR. So, it is one of the things that REs like to treat prophyllactically. Biochemically speaking, the Folic acid theory is sound, and extra folic acid is unlikely to cause problems. Aspirin at that dosage is unlikely to "hurt" either.
Avatar f tn A fetal heart rate below 100 beats per minute (bpm) at 5 to 7 weeks of gestation is considered slow. Higher rates of fetal loss are associated with lower fetal heart rates; survival is zero at heart rates below 85 bpm at 6 to 8 weeks of gestation. That said a normal heart rate (110s-160s) by 8 weeks gestation confers a much better prognosis. A repeat sonogram to detect the fetal heart in 3-4 weeks will be helpful. Best regards, Dr.
Avatar f tn how soon after a miscarriage does it take for your HCG levels to go back to normal? i had a miscarriage nearly 2 weeks ago. once the bleeding stopped we have been trying again. i have just done a test and it shows a faint positive???
Avatar n tn t know your age but that would be informative as you are asking about confounding issues. The two confounders are that with increasing age miscarriage rates increase (most commonly due to an increase in chromosomal abnormalities secondary to aging oocytes), and with increasing age the menstrual cycle can begin to vary in length by 7 days or more.
Avatar f tn I've just found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant at 46!!!. I'm delighted and so is my husband but I'm absolutely shocked to be pregnant at all (thought it was menopause) and very worried about the miscarriage rates for this age group, which I've read is as high as 50%. I don't smoke or drink, I watch what I eat and am taking preg vitamins. All of my blood tests were great and this is baby number 7. Others are between 27 - 6 yrs.
215752 tn?1278004771 There is no data to suggest that IVF is more successful on the subsequent cycles. Since the success rates are usually between 30-40% a subsequent cycle increases your chances of success. Depending on your age and your diagnosis for infertility you always have the option of freezing embryos, which while costly, would give you options to do a frozen embryo transfer later for a lot less money if you don't get pregnant from your fresh cycle.
Avatar f tn I had a missed miscarriage four months ago @ 13 weeks. Had no sign of miscarriage, no bleeding or cramping at all! Went to my regular check up & found out the babies heart was no longer beating:( Your little ones heart rate seems strong!! If you haven't had any big issues with this pregnancy I would not worry!!! I had issues with progesterone being low in the beginning so they think that was a sign! :/ Just enjoy it & try to relax!
Avatar f tn On your other issues, I believe only your dr will be able to adequately answer them w/authority. With miscarriage rates this high, chances are that if there's a chromosonal abnormality, the body will miscarry it. Now women 40+ have a greater chance of a normal pregnancy than in the past - that much I know.
Avatar m tn Your initial visit, he/she will likely take a history of both of you, written questionaire. He may have even sent this to you by mail ahead of time. My RE did this history on both of us, then he ran over all of our options and what they would supposedly achieve. I consider us lucky because our RE was honest enough with us to day, unless you have a perfect cycle, everything is aligned, all the fertility meds in the world won't help.
Avatar f tn The miscarriage rates do drop dramatically after 6 weeks. Since once the embryo is successfully implanted and grows things go pretty smoothly. Asset this point all that can go wrong is a truly random occurance, like wrong number of chromosomes - extremely rare, especially if you are younger.
1315622 tn?1286816855 Hi am new here I am exactly 8 wks preg. This is my 2nd preg 1st ended in miscarriage. We have been trying for 9 months exact time after miscarriage. Edd is 1jan.2011. We heard the baby's heartbeat at 7 wks 2 days 132bpm. Am really super excted and pray that we all make through our pregnancy.
Avatar f tn After you see the heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage drops to approximately 5%, so long as no other complications are present and there is no vaginal bleeding. You can Google miscarriage rates by week also and it will give you some good info. Good luck!
Avatar f tn In December I had a missed miscarriage. Baby stopped growing at 8 weeks, but I didn't find out til 9 weeks at my appointment. I had my first appointment 2 weeks ago and the heartbeat was 153 and everything looked good. I'm now 9 weeks and worried that something is going to happen. My breasts still hurt, and I get nauseous still and I'm tired, so these are all good stopped ignore that everything is fine right? I'm just really worried and don't want to lose this one either.
Avatar f tn I visited my OBGYN on 2/18/08 for first routine OB visit. I was slightly concerned since I had been spotting for 5 days - started out brown and light pink, and now sometimes has a little bit of stringy red in it(also, I noticed a faint foul smell to this bloody discharge when I changed my pad). By my LMP (12/20/07), I should be 9 weeks today.
Avatar m tn Sorry to hear about the miscarriage and this cyst. Cysts can grow at different rates. If it is truly a dermoid, it will not go away on its own and will need to be surgically removed. Here is a website that may be helpful - http://ovaryresearch.com/ovarian_cysts.htm.
Avatar f tn ) Anyway, the long and short of it is that nobody knows for sure if the risks are high of miscarriage if you have a septum. (Some women probably go their whole lives with normal pregnancies and never even learn they have them.) I didn't have an issue.
