Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage rates after hearing heartbeat

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I know these things sound good but I was wondering what the miscarriage rate is after seeing a heartbeat. I know of two people who miscarried after seeing this so I'm still really concerned. They are telling me to relax and just enjoy the process now but I'm still needing reassurnace. What do you think?
Avatar n tn Got to see my little bean and hear heartbeat(167). My doctor said that considering we got yup hear the heartbeat it decreases your risk of miscarriage. Anyone get told this?
Avatar f tn What are your chances of miscarriage after hearing the heartbeat? I am 8 weeks and have already seen and heard the heartbeat.

911484 tn?1242830381 I got to see a heartbeat at exactly 6 weeks. It was very hard to see but they were still there.
Avatar n tn I'm about 9wks 2 days now, and have heard a strong 180 HB already and have also seen the heartbeat! I had a miscarriage last April and am still worried about that! The MC was a VERY early one my levels were really low, so I was just barely pregnant. But, I'm wondering if being this far along and seeing/hearing the heartbeat decreases my chances of a miscarriage? I know it's not 100% EVER in a pregnancy just want to know if it's lower?! THANKS!
801514 tn?1273676786 My daughter recently had a miscarriage. They had already detected the heartbeat at a good 147 bpm at the 8 week mark. When she went it at 11 weeks, they couldn't hear the heartbeat, and an ultrasound revealed that it hadn't grown since the 8 week mark. She had a spontaneous miscarriage the next day. I've read that miscarriages after the heart begins beating are very rare -- around 5%. What are the causes for a miscarriage during this timeframe? This was her first pregnancy.
Avatar f tn m going slightly crazy waiting for it lol. Has anyone else experienced a missed miscarriage after hearing the heartbeat and while still having symptoms? Or am I unnecessarily worrying? And does anyone know some statistics?
435139 tn?1255460391 I know exactly how you feel. I too m/c'd in December. I am now 18 1/2 weeks. When I got my BFP, I immediatly called the doctor and they said they wouldnt even see me until I was 9 or 10 weeks - I freaked! So I had them check my hcg levels to make sure they were rising properly, which they were, so that put me at ease until my first appointment. My first appointment was at 8w3d, we saw and heard the heartbeat.
Avatar n tn At my 1st appt (about 11 weeks) the Dr said we may or may not hear the heartbeat via doppler.
2075786 tn?1342908758 Anyone know how common it is or what the chances are of having a missed miscarriage after hearing the babys heartbeat at 9 weeks?!? Im trying to stay positive but its not an easy thing to do.....
Avatar f tn I don't think hearing the heartbeat means you're miscarriage safe, i know you're chances of miscarriage decrease to 30% or so after about 3months, atleast all my doctors have said that.
Avatar n tn you might be to early to see the heartbeat, dont give up hope until you have at least two more u/s, unless you start cramping and bleeding, or your blood tests show otherwise. But to me it sounds like you might just be border line 5-6wks. So keep your chin up and love that baby you have.. I cant wait to have my baby.. So good luck..
Avatar f tn com that their doctors told them after 9 weeks the chance of miscarriage goes down to 3-5% after you hear a HB. I hope that makes you feel some better even though it wasn't so helpful.
Avatar f tn Usually after seeing/hearing the heartbeat the chances drop. Also if you make it to 12 weeks it drops as well. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone! I'm 11 weeks 3 days today, had my second OB appointment. Wasn't able to hear the babies heartbeat through the doppler, but we could all see it flickering right away on ultrasound. However, this is my first pregnancy and I am utterly terrified of miscarriage. I Know the percentages of miscarriage go down each week, along with hearing/seeing fetal heart tones. I guess I'm just wondering how to get through the next few weeks without worrying myself constantly.
Avatar f tn After you see the heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage drops to approximately 5%, so long as no other complications are present and there is no vaginal bleeding. You can Google miscarriage rates by week also and it will give you some good info. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Anyone out there pregnant after miscarriage or missed miscarriage? I'm 11 weeks 3 days, I had a missed miscarriage in June this year. Worried, nervous..
655897 tn?1328018445 So right now its like I am having a miscarriage of one, but still pregnant with the other. I just want this one to be ok!
Avatar f tn ve seen our little bean every week since the beginning along with hearing the heartbeat yesterday. So everything is fine. You just have to learn to relax. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn Hi ladies After 3 years of ttc and one ectopic pregnancy (that resulted in removal of my right tube), we were thrilled to get a BFP after our second IUI last month. Last week, at 5wks4days, the ultrasound showed a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole in the uterus. Today at 6 wks4days, the doc couldn't find a heartbeat. He thinks I will likely have a miscarriage, though is doing another ultrasound next week, when I will be 7 weeks 1 day to confirm.
Avatar f tn I actually have a friend with sensitive hearing who checks on my baby and says everything is fine.. but that fear keeps comming back... any advice on how to not think about it or letting it get to me?
