Miscarriage rates after 7 weeks

Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage rates after 7 weeks

Avatar f tn First ultrasound the heartbeat was 98 at around 7 weeks. We had a series of ultrasounds after that where the heartbeat was in the 80s and then 60s on so on until finally at 8w5d it just stopped. I chose to have a d&c because I knew I wouldnt be able to handle a naural m/c. After that we tried again and I had another m/c at 6 weeks. We tried for a third time and I got pg with my first son and after some spotting and bleeding episodes we were able to get him here.
Avatar n tn Jadedwaves- I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago. I was at 10 weeks. I bled lightly (heavy spotting) from 6- 8 weeks and after that I consistently had weird brown discharge. We had a strong heartbeat at 6.5 weeks and everythign was good, but I knew the whole time something bad was going to happen. the baby died at 9 weeks but I didn't find out until 10 weeks when the really heavy bleeding and clots started. But that last week I knew the whole time that things were bad. I wish you the best of luck.
Avatar n tn I’m 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow. After years of trying and numerous IUI we have success BUT now is it viable… I had my first vaginal ultra sound (us) last week (6wks pg) and there was nothing but a sac that measured 8 mm. Well, I freaked out!!! I was expecting a fetal pole and a heartbeat. My doctor ordered a HCG for that day and two days later. I went home and cried. My HCG that day came back 4000.
1448645 tn?1370071096 A bit of history… We have been trying for 19 months now after our first miscarriage at 8 weeks. The second happened again at 5.5 weeks. My doc thought it was to progesterone levels but wasn’t sure and didn’t seem to be proactive, so i decided to change doctors. My new doc did all sorts of tests on both of us and other than having pcos, there is no reason to not falling pregnant. I use to have 28 day cycles and then on to 30 days and up to 40 days. The doc controlled these with hormones.
Avatar n tn I just had my second miscarriage last week. 61/2 weeks along. First one was 12 weeks. I have one daughter. My Dr. doesn't think there are any chromosomal or progesterone issues since I already had one successful pregnancy. He said he would put me on progesterone next time just in case. I have two questions: 1. I want to use natural progesterone cream. Does anyone have any experience using natural progesterone? I'm concerned about the effects of synthetic hormones on me and my baby. 2.
Avatar n tn My embryo transfer was 7/22/09 with 3 embies. My Dr. thinks it will probably end up a miscarriage. Is there ANY success rates out there? I have been crying all night! This was my first IVF cycle. Thanks for reading my post!
581359 tn?1454010042 Then fluid started building up and she was in and out of the hospital for like a month and had to get a full emergency hysterectomy 2 weeks after giving birth. She lost lots of her hair from the stress on her body. So here is this poor mama who had two bad birth experiences and can no longer ahve children at the young age of 24 I think. So off topic though;) Wish all woman could have good dr's, nurses, hospitals, experiences for birthing!!!!
Avatar f tn If there is too little progesterone during the early weeks of pregnancy it can result in a miscarriage. In IVF miscarriage rates do seem to increase as women get older. A detailed clinical evaluation is important to confirm whether you have miscarriaged or not. Contact your doctor and get prepared for the next ultrasound. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!

Avatar n tn Husband had vasectomy 7 yrs ago. Stil have period and have had a regular period every 3 weeks lasting approx 7 days. Until my last period which started Oct 7th. That period was really heavy and clotty(sorry, don't mean to be gross). Still waiting for my period to start this month. Used period calculater and even on a 28 day cycle I should have gotten it by Nov 4th. My hysband keeps assuring me it is gonna start any day.
Avatar n tn Or will it take longer than 4 months once it is removed? Also, what are the miscarriage rates with getting pregnant immediately after having an IUD removed? I just want to know what would be the best time for my husband and I to begin to try for another baby.
873190 tn?1304816575 I am 39 years old and I am in the process of having my third consecutive miscarriage. At six weeks vaginal us, empty gestational sac. And again today (six weeks six days) still empty sac. I'll go back next week to confirm blighted ovum and probably do a d&c. We started seeing a specialist after my second miscarriage and he ran ALL of the blood work. The whole shabang, and found nothing that would indicate any problems.
1432741 tn?1300202363 An embryo just over 5 weeks after conception. It's length is one centimeter (0.4 inch) long. The heart and liver are strikingly large in relation to the body. The hands and feet are as yet merely small buds. During the fifth and sixth weeks the face, trunk and limbs continue to grow. The head, which has until now been sharply inclined forward, straighten up, as does the whole embryo. There are still no skull bones,so one can see straight into the embryonic brain.
Avatar n tn Today is 7 days after my transfer was done (last friday), and I am very anxious for the 20th of Febuary when my pregnancy test will take place. I am very optimistic and want to trust that all will be fine and that my result is going to be a POSITIVE one, but of course I am trusting that God will have a lot to do with it. My husband and I want to have a baby more than anything in this word and nothing would make us happier than to be pregnant.
Avatar f tn my baby was only a yolk sac at 5wk 6day...i didnt see her little heart beating until i was 7 weeks...im now 21 weeks...the heart rate increases when they are so little...i think your heart rates are fine considering the ages...congrats on the twins...did they schedule you for another u/s?
254689 tn?1251183640 I seem to be losing some of my symptoms and not quite 7 weeks; should I be worried?
Avatar n tn I am 9 weeks pregnant after an ablation 8 months ago. I also had my tubes tied. I have been trying to read up on this and not finding much hope. I'm really scared for my sweet baby. I have had some very serious pain and gone to the E.R. and the Dr.s didn't really know what to do with me. They did an ultrasound and the baby looks fine... looks like the babies growth is good. (this was my 2nd ultrasound) and the hospital ended up calling a specialist and he was in shock about the whole thing.
Avatar n tn ago and had my oblation 5months ago and didn't realize until talking to my husband of 19yrs. a few weeks ago that we really want another child. My cycle never stopped after the oblation it only took 2 months for the bleeding to get back to normal but I have no cramps at all. Thank God for that. We really want one more child. I have heard of a reverse tubal but I didn't know the risk of a pregnacy after a oblation or the slight chance of getting pregnant.
213739 tn?1215489609 C that I should wait 3 months, which I waited and then today says that because there is a higher risk of Molar Pregnancy after any miscarriage, my three months will start now because my levels are just now down so it's like I just now miscarried. I don't want to wait three months as my hubby is a fireman and owns his own lawn business in the spring, summer and fall.
849762 tn?1288188348 9 weeks 4 days the hb was 172. 10 weeks hb was 180. 11 weeks 2 days hb was 150. 13 weeks the hb was 160. The doctor said it's depends on how your baby activities in the womb. if baby moving alot, then heart rate can goes up... just like us when we active, our heart rate will go up... Congrats and good luck to you.
Avatar n tn I too have read stories of heartbeats being found after 7 weeks, and if you are only 7 weeks then I would think they would want to take more steps to be sure. If for instance you were definitely 9 weeks pregnant, and there was delayed growth and no heartbeat things would be less optimistic (but without being able to ascertain that for sure, I think the Dr should ask you back in a week or so, or ask the Doctor to justify his position if he says he is certain it is a miscarriage). .
Avatar f tn Any ladies have experience with no heartbeat during 6 weeks and then getting a heartbeat at 7 weeks or later? Your input would be much appreciated. Thank you.
514574 tn?1213883940 I thought I was the only one who has had three successful pregnancies, all of which had CLEAR signs of early pregnancy, and could have SWORN I was pregnant this month after having my Mirena removed in early April. I had one pretty normal period about three weeks after removal, had an uneventful normal cycle afterward with clear signs of ovulation, etc.
Avatar f tn I always would advise against an ultrasound before at least 7 weeks. There are just too many variables among women in the early weeks. One way I had it explained to me is: just as babies grow at varying rates, so can an embryo or fetus. So what is seen on an ultrasound at 6 weeks for one woman, might not be what is seen for another woman. BUT both end up having healthy normal babies. My advice to you is to wait for another ultrasound until you are at least 8 weeks.
Avatar n tn The first one I was 5 weeks along and with the second one I was 10 weeks. With the 2nd one I saw a heartbeat at 7 1/2 weeks. I was going to be tested but decided against it. 2 months later I conceived my son who is now 13 months! Hang in there. I know it's hard and I am sorry you had to go through this. I think after 2 they consider doing testing, although I'm sure you can request it now if you wanted to. Don't lose hope. It will happen!!
1002983 tn?1349825686 After having three failed IUIs, two failed IVFs, and one IVF resulting in a miscarriage I really felt I had nothing to lose in my endeavours to get pregnant and complete my family with a much wanted third child. Here is a list of what I added to my IVF (ICSI) cycle last October. I am now going on 17weeks pregnant, and pray eveything turns out fine finally.
Avatar f tn The pain of the c section will subside soon. After a couple weeks you will feel almost normal again. You will be able to bend and move without hurting too bad. Our prayers are with you!!!
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor Monday and he says I most likely had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in an early miscarriage. I was only 3-4 weeks along. I had a sonogram done yesterday to make sure it was a complete miscarriage. Everything looked normal, so its assumed my body just reabsorbed it.
Avatar n tn I went in at over 6 weeks, no fetus but at 7 weeks 6 days they saw the fetus and heart beat. Good luck! 6 weeks is often just too early. Also, a vaginal ultra detected my baby, not an ab ultra.
