Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage rate by week

miscarriage

Avatar n tn to jump to the bad possibility first before considering the positive..Well I will go back in a week or so..and by then I will be 12 weeks and a bit..so maybe by then..I had asked if my Dr could give me another u/s jsut so it would calm my nerves because my 1st u/s was under the 12 week marker...but he suggested coming back to use the doppler..with hopes that it will ease my nerves...Anyways I guess I will have to be patient till then..hard to do...but what can you do...
Avatar n tn While there are a few studies out there suggesting an increased rate of miscarriage associated with a low fetal heart rate in very early pregnancies, this has not been my experience. As long as the heart rate jumps up into the normal range (120-170) by 7-8 weeks, I have found that these pregnancies are no more likely to miscarry than those with "normal" fetal heart rates.
1339501 tn?1285439404 I measured where I should have, at about 8 weeks now where as last week they had told me I was off on my dates by two weeks. So I thought I should post my situation for all you soon-to-be mothers who are waiting to hear the heart beat - just because you don't see it this week, don't go crazy with anxiety! They say all embryo's develop at the same rate until the second trimester, but not always or at least not in my situation . . .
Avatar f tn m wanting to know with any experienced mothers or with any woman here who have had a miscarriage how likely it is to have another miscarriage after recently having a miscarriage...also if my age, number of children I have given birth to natural, or any of that affects the likelihood as well. I was very surprised that I had a miscarriage because both of my pregnancies were almost perfect healthwise, no complications, both my babies born a little bit late and over seven and a half pounds.
Avatar f tn I haven't had a miscarriage, but wonder why he said that, especially since the hear rate went up...I don't remember how high my son's was that early...I'm gonna have to watch your post and see what people say on this one..I'm curious.
Avatar n tn my sister just had her first ultrasound and she is 5 weeks and 5 days and the babies heart rate was only 76 bpm. is this low as she is worried because she has had a previous miscarriage but that was 9 years ago.
Avatar f tn Depending on how far along you were, it might be horomones left over from miscarriage. Test again in a week or go get a blood test. They'll probably do 2 tests to see if numbers are going up or down.
Avatar f tn the nurse called me to schedule another ultrasound next week because she said the heart rate was low? Should I be worried? I had an ectopic pregnancy May of 2010. Need some advice please!!
Avatar m tn I just went to the doctor and my little one measured 6w 0d, the yolk sac was large, I have a subchorianic hemmorage and the heart rate was 80. My doctor is expecting me to miscarry within a week. Has anyone had any similar experiences?
782720 tn?1236125785 I've been challenged with my first pregnancy so far and I'm only about 6wks6days along. First, all my hCG levels seem to be rising... but VERY slowly (usually about 1.3-1.4 times every 24 hours instead of the doubling I was told should happen). But I tried to keep my spirits up since at least they're still rising. I went in for an ultrasound on Wed 03/11/09, and they couldn't see much. Just the gestational sac & yolk sac.
Avatar f tn Miscarriage has always been on the back of my mind since the day I found out I was expecting, I'm almost in fear to get too excited since the chances of miscarriage are so high in the first trimester. I'm 8 weeks and curious if the chances of miscarriage decreases with each passing week in the first trimester?
Avatar f tn survival is zero at heart rates below 85 bpm at 6 to 8 weeks of gestation. That said a normal heart rate (110s-160s) by 8 weeks gestation confers a much better prognosis. A repeat sonogram to detect the fetal heart in 3-4 weeks will be helpful. Best regards, Dr.
Avatar n tn They are going by approximately the miscarriage date as your LMP since you didn't get another period. Also its not abnormal for babies to measure a couple of weeks bigger or smaller then their due dates since after 13 weeks all babies develop at their own rate. I'm 32 weeks and 3 weeks she was measuring only in the 8th percentile and now she is in the 22nd percentile. You could just be having a big baby and the weight is just a guesstimate and can be off by a couple pounds at delivery.
Avatar n tn I am exactly 6 weeks pregnant. I had a tiny bit of bleeding this morning and got an ultrasound. The doctor said that the heart beat was a slow 65bpm. I also had my hcg levels tested and they were 34,000 (vs. 6400 one week ago). Although the doctor said that he would like to see the heartbeat double by next week, he said that because it is early, it doesn't necessarily mean I am going to have a miscarriage.
Avatar f tn 800 of having a miscarriage while another Doc told me it is 10% which seems TOO HIGH.Please share your experience with me sothat m able to decide on this,m going to meet my Doc on Monday.(In case some of you do not know about SUA -Whoever has SUA instead of double artery has higher risk for anomalies.
Avatar f tn So I went to Dr's last week for my 10 week check up and fhr was 171.!!! I'm just nervous bc I've been reading some things that say where some people went back at 14 weeks and didn't hear a hb. Should I worry or am I out of the danger zone.?
Avatar f tn Hi! I am aware of one study that showed an increased rate of miscarriage in baby's with low heartbeats. HOWEVER in my own personal experience, we have been seeing that so commonly in the VERY early pregnancies, that we consider it normal. If slow at 5-6 weeks and speeds up by 7-8 (by then its usually 160 or so) we have had very good results with those pregnancies they seem to end in healthy babies! Good luck and Congratulations!
Avatar f tn they did an ultrasound my baby has a heartbeat of 175 but the sac is small only 6 weeks the dr didnt seem to concerned she said these things catch up by the 13 th week but today she called and said my levels were really low and put me on prometrium to help buti still know nothing i just wanted to know if you went on to deliver a healthy baby or if your problems like mine continued into a miscarriage. Anyone that can help me i would really appreciate it right now.
5682685 tn?1372347777 Hey I couldn't find a concrete answer to give so I searched Babymed.com and this is what I found. Hope it helps. Congrats && good luck :) By the time the embryo measures 2 mm the fetal heart rate activity should be seen and normal embryos start at under 85 beats per minute heart rate.
Avatar f tn Anything more then that is of concern. This of course is if you are aboslutely certain of your dates. Is it possible you are off by a week or two? Bleeding happens in about 30% of pregnant women in first trimester. About half of those will go on to have normal healthy pregnancies. Yes, the heartrate is a bit slow, but again, that is one of those things that can go either way, and I have seen it go both ways. Right now you are in that horrid "wait and see" time.
Avatar f tn Is Anybody Elses Week By Week Videos Acting Weird Lately ? Im In The 36 Weeks Stage ..
234013 tn?1231110193 is not concerned and said I could do this throughout my first trimester. What is the percentage rate of miscarriage now that a heartbeat has been seen?
Avatar f tn Hello fellow mamas! I had my 12 week appointment yesterday and baby's heart rate was 155, which doc said was typical for a girl. We don't actually know what we're having yet, and won't know for another 8 weeks. What were your heart rates at 12 weeks, and for those of you that know what you're having, did it coincide with the gender of your baby?
Avatar f tn I had my ultrasound today and after just having a miscarriage, my 6wk 3day old baby is visable with a healthy heartbeat :) I'm happy but unfortunately my bf isn't and says were not ready for this and I don't have any support from him. I don't know what to do. I know what I want to do but I feel like it's not fair to have a child with someone who doesn't want one. I'm so confused!
Avatar n tn A week ago, I went in for my 8 week u/s. I measured between 5 and 6 weeks (which I knew to be wrong) with a heartrate of 88. An ultrasound 3 days later showed growth with a collapsing sac and a heartrate of 100 that was skipping beats. 3 days later (today...9ish weeks) they found the sac was normal, but no fetal growth in that past 3 days and a heart rate of 55. My doctor has not put me on restricted duty at work (I'm a police officer) as she has deemed this a probable miscarriage.
Avatar f tn Im just 6 weeks and had my first appointment today. They said the fetal heart rate was slow and to come back in a week. Anyone have this happen with a positive outcome?
