I normally have 29 day cycles and started bleeding this morning at 46 days. I took a dollar store pregnancy test over a week ago and it had come back negative. I'm not sure if the test was accurate or not. Last night I had sex with my boyfriend again and afterwards got very light cramping, but didn't think much of it. I woke up early this morning with light spotting and cramps. I went back to sleep and then woke up again with heavy bleeding and strong cramps.
I did not think it was my periods... but it was! My next period came back normally after that, very heavy this time. I think the first period was so light because I had bled so much after my D&C and the uterus had nothing left to shed.
But then again you could also be pregnant... take a pregnancy test in a week!
what could this be caused from? Could it be the birth control or could she have had a miscarriage? Any advice would be very helpful.

Could be a very early miscarriage, or whats called a chemical pregnancy, you miscarry even before a positive pregnancy test.
The small amount of heavy bleeding and clots could indicate this.
Urine pregnancy tests are very accurate these days. Either scenario is possible--it could be your period, or a very early miscarriage. The pregnancy test will help you sort it out.

Hey guys I was hoping someone could help me figure this out as I am completely stumped. Yesterday while taking my little sister to her soccer camp I started bleeding wasn't heavy or anything I went to the bathroom and had what looked like like grains of sand but still bloody coming out of me. I had one clot and that was all within a hour and the clot wasn't very big. I've been TTC with my fiancé for a while now and recently went through a miscarriage in early May.
If it was two weeks before you were due for a period then it's very very unlikely that you were pregnant. It was probably just an early period and you don't have anything to worry about. The dr. wouldn't be able to tell now. I hope this helped a little.
Hello my husband and I are trying to conceive. We have been trying for 2 months. My late period was Aug 23-27 and this mouth ones I didn't get my period. My husband and I went to go buy a pregnancy test 2 came inside the box. They both were positive two lines for positive even if one is light then the other one. so when my results were done both were positive. But 9 days after my missed period I started to bleed like it was my period.
I would still consider yourself pregnant, it wasnt heavy enough for a miscarriage, even an early miscarriage the bleeding would be as heavy or a little heavier than your period, this to me sounds as if you had a small period like bleed around the time your period was due, due to hormone levels, not high enough to stop a small break through bleed but high enough to keep the pregnancy viable, good luck
you may also be having what is known as a threatened miscarriage, which basically means that there is something posing a threat to the baby that may heal itself or result in a miscarriage. i had the latter this pregnancy. all is well now and am 30 1/2 weeks. the best outcome is that you're just bleeding ( which does happen ) and baby will be fine. i wish you the best of luck.
Some women have chemical pregnancies which means they were pregnant very early and naturally miscarry. And it is like a heavy, more painful period. But you'd have had to have sex for that. Another possibility is a cyst. Women get those from time to time. And when they pass, it's painful. Most women will pass a simple cyst without any issue other than what feels like a heavier and more painful period.
How heavy was the bleeding? Depending on how long since your last period or when you ovulated it could be implantation bleeding. And was the negative after two positives or before? It sounds like it could of been implantation bleeding, when i had mine, it was just a very little bit on the paper after i went to the bathroom (sorry if TMI) i thought i was starting my period, put in a tampon when back an hr later to check and nothing. about 2 weeks later found out i was prego.
the only way to know is to see your doc and have them do blood work and ultrasound... best of luck!
