Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage or delivery

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I had a terminated pregnancy when I was a teenager so technically this won't be considered my first pregnancy but I'm curious as to how this will effect my delivery. I know some ppl say "oh with my first baby my delivery was somewhat easy" so I don't know to classify this as my second delivery or what. Either way it go I'm just hoping for a safe delivery don't know how the abortion effects things so if you ladies know any.

Avatar n tn I would say that, that type of question is better suited for your OB. I myself had a premature baby (was due at the end of June), my water broke at the beginning of March. So I had a 1lb 6oz baby, who is now 2 and healthy. I would say to ask your doctor if he feels it's safe for you to try to conceive again, usually they suggest after a miscarriage to wait 2 cycles. I'm sure it's probably the same with premature baby.
10104636 tn?1412142216 I would call labor and delivery or a nurse line and get their opinion. Alot of times the er won't do anything besides send you home and tell you to call your ob. I have had 2 and was never seen until my doctor could see a few days later. I personally hate paying the ER visit. So I would call and see.
Avatar f tn This miscarriage (if you do have one) may or may not be related to your blood pressure problem, as many as 50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, sometimes the women doesn't even know she is pregnant yet You should be ab;e to have a child, but your pregnancy may not be "normal" you would be watched very carefully for high blood pressure happening again, there are some meds you can take, and often bedrest is prescribed.

Avatar f tn They were also less likely to have an ectopic pregnancy, a cesarean or preterm delivery, or a low-birth-weight infant. The highest risks of a second miscarriage and other pregnancy complications were seen among women who conceived more than 24 months after miscarriage. The findings run contrary to current guidelines by the World Health Organization to wait at least half a year to conceive after having a miscarriage, which affects approximately one in five pregnancies.

Avatar f tn 4 weeks along. My husband has a very large penis, is it possible that sex could cause a miscarriage or any other problems during my high risk pregnancy? Or any advice on things we should avoid doing intimately to keep any problems from arising?
Avatar f tn Very light positive on home pregnancy test tonight. Miscarried at 15.5 weeks gestation almost 5 weeks ago. Natural delivery no D&C. Only bled 9 days after delivery. symptoms were all gone within a week. Tonight my breasts were extremely tender and feel full again. So I decided to test... not sure if it's left over HCG from my loss. Anyone have opinions to share?

Avatar f tn s been 2 years apart since the last miscarriage and doc announced that I might be going through another miscarriage with this current one too.. At 10 weeks, doc could not find any fetal pole in the sac.Meaning to say, no baby found in there. Avatar f tn t noticed a missed period, but did have pregnancy symptoms of nausea, larger appetite, constipation and tender breasts. Could this mean that i experienced a miscarriage or is there another reason for this? I have been pregnant before two years ago where I had an abortion so this could mean stimulation could lead to milk production without pregnancy?
Avatar f tn No that sounds like one of the symptoms your meant to report ASAP as could be linked to parts of placenta still being inside. Could be nothing but I had early miscarriage and bits stayed inside after and ended up needing to have an operation like a d & c as i was so ill with symptoms like you describe I was lucky not to get blood poisoning from the infection.

796579 tn?1266432024 my biggest question is whether it is possible to also use a midwife, i will be delivering in a hospital with a great NICU if needed, but my conccern is not having someone i know deliver my baby and be there to support me in the birth. is it common to have both or do most people choose one or the other? any advise you have regarding all questions and concerns i have would be greatly appreciatied.
1160319 tn?1262662004 It was hard having the late miscarriage. I had to go through the delivery, we got to hold her and stuff. Then having a funeral wasn't easy either, we barried her on top of my mom. My mom died when I was 17, so it was hard not to have her around at that time, but it's also hard to not have her around when this pregnancy is going so well too.
