Nothing I have read about VTS indicated that this type of thing would happen, but the u/s did not have any findings to help with the diagnosis. Could this have been the complete miscarriage of the one twin? How concerned should I be that this could just be the begining of a miscarriage of the remaining fetus?
Well i no that after a m/c, a hpt can be positive for as long as you have a level of 25(of the hcg hormone) in your body. It took a little over 4 weeks after my m/c for my levels to go to 5. After a m/c your hormones are all over the place and can still make you think you are preggo.
Now as far as having a complete m/c and still having flutters i cant answer that one, i was 10 weeks and didnt feel any movement at that time. I no women who had twins and one died but disengrated within the body.
Having a weird situation I have signs of miscarriage and hcg levels are lowering bleeding and abdominal pain but yet an ultrasound showed that the baby had grown from the week prior yet no heartbeat approx 6 weeks gestation has anyone had similar circumstance and what happened?
I undersatnd the doctor's decisions to not take any further actions because the removement of the twin that has passed could cause the death of the twin that is alive. The only thing left to do is up to the course of nature. At an eraly stage as 7 weeks, the baby wasn't even fully developed. What will happen after you stop bleeding is that your body will just absorb the remains of the decease twin.
My friend was told she had a miscarriage to later find out that she was still pregnant and had lost one of twins.
I'm not that knowledgeable on the matter but I did see on a medical show where this has happened. If the twins are in the same sac (when its fraternal/maternal I don't know if they are/are not) they will have her delivery both when its time to. Meaning she would have to carry both up until her due date.

Currently I am expecting twins and when I found out I cried bc I was scared of miscarriage or one surviving and not the other etc. The best advice I got was not to stress or worry bc that can harm ur pregnancy. So I quit worrying and now I'm ten weeks away from being full term and they are healthy.
As everyone else has suggested, they should be checked again to see for sure what they are doing. But generally, if they drop, that usually indicates a miscarriage or impending miscarriage. The other possibility is that it could be what is called "vanishing twin." This is where you were pregnant with twins, and then one "vanishes." Basically, you lose one twin. This sometimes does cause bleeding, and it does explain the drop in hcg without total miscarriage. Good luck.

And yes, the more weeks you are the lesser the chance of miscarriage.

I have two other kids and never had a miscarriage or anything. I do not know why i have been so worry about this one so much. I think you heard about all the bad stuff and never the good stuff. My cousin had twin four years ago she went to full term. And i know many others that have too. A friend of mine had twins that just turn a year old and these was her four pregnancy. I am a mother or twin girls also my first children. A lot of nausea, soreness and much more excitement is to come. I never had spotting or cramping and went full term which is hardly common with twins. i did limit myself to much needed bed rest through out my 6th month due to i also had a m/c before them and everythinjhhg was fine they are healthy and now 3 yrs old. I have been seeing a specialist for about month because my doctor noticed one of my twins was not growing at the same rate as the other. They believe it was Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome which basically is a disease of the placenta. They told me that there was a connecting vessel which is responsible for the blood, which was being transfused disproportionately.
