Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage first pregnancy statistics

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I'm 25 years old and 7 weeks along with my first pregnancy. I feel fine so far and have yet to go to N obgyn. I am waiting til I hit week 8. I am however very concerned because my mother in law is always telling me stories about women that are overweight and end up having a miscarriage. Now I'm paranoid and checking myself every 5 minutes for signs of a miscarriage. ..I'm not even letting myself enjoy my pregnancy for fear that it will end in A miscarriage.
2087711 tn?1354908175 Another really weird question what are the statistics of miscarriage, chemical pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy?
Avatar f tn ve never had a miscarriage or any real pregnancy scares. My period was for the most part regular. I used to get horrible cramps and i mean horrible. Last year my cramps just disappeared but in December and January those horrible cramps returned. A couple weeks ago I didnt get my period and I immediately tested a positive home pregnancy test. I haven't had a chance to see a Dr. so I read forums and my app that I have. I'm terrified of all this miscarriage talk.
Avatar f tn My Nan was 39 when she had her first child and 41 when she had my Mum. My grandmother was 41 when she had my Dad (although he was the 12th child which I know is supposed to make it easier). My Mum had me at 36 and finished menopause at 54 and my oldest sister at 52 (but she also smoked on and off). My other sister is still okay at 47 as far as I know.

Avatar n tn hi my doc said once heartbeat detected miscarriage is only 10%!
Avatar n tn t feel any different. I have had two previous miscarriages before this pregnancy and in so scared. I long for a baby. Just wondered if I could hear some positive stories l. Has anyone ever not felt symptoms but been fine.
1935851 tn?1332348173 Miscarriage in the first trimester is always a possibility. Statistics claim that approximately 20 to 30% of pregnancies will miscarry in the early stages. I know, its scary, but try not to let it worry you to much. Is there a reason you are worrying? Are you showing any signs or symptoms of loss? If you aren't that try to relax and enjoy this wonderful time in your life. Chances are higher that it won't happen then that it will. Congrats on your pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I'm really nervous om 19 this is my first pregnancy I have a tipped uterus and hypothyroidism I'm in my first trimester I literally just found out I'm pregnant. What can I do to prevent miscarriage? Is there anything I can avoid ?
Avatar n tn I have never been pregnant before, but when I see the statistics for the first trimester miscarriage rate, I get anxious and can't get excited about the pregnancy. We had a difficult road getting pregnant. Any tips to keep calm and happy during the critical first 12 weeks?
Avatar f tn I visited my OBGYN on 2/18/08 for first routine OB visit. I was slightly concerned since I had been spotting for 5 days - started out brown and light pink, and now sometimes has a little bit of stringy red in it(also, I noticed a faint foul smell to this bloody discharge when I changed my pad). By my LMP (12/20/07), I should be 9 weeks today.
Avatar f tn m 28 this is my first pregnancy and Im scared of anything going wrong or me having a miscarriage. I had my first ultrasound on the 17th everything looked good and the baby had a strong heart beat... Am i in the clear of miscarrying?? I dont have much family or friends to ask these questions... I guess i don't have a big support team so thats why im asking.
Avatar f tn but for some reason im scaring myself into thinking about this miscarriage mess in the first trimester.
Avatar f tn HELLO! Jus fount out im 6 weeks pregnant! First baby! First time ever being pregnant. I have irregular periods and thought I had fertility issues, but to my suprise I am pregnant at age 20! Does anyone know if women with irregular periods have a higher risk of miscarriage? How can I assure I have a healthy pregnancy. I am over weight but will no heath issues like high blood pressure or diabetes etc. But can being over weight cause miscarriage?
Avatar f tn I will be 8 week tomorrow. I had my first ultrasound on Tuesday and the doctor said that everything looked healthy and we saw the heartbeat. I've been having some occasional brown spotting that doctor wasn't too coerced with. What are statistics of losing a baby at this time?
Avatar f tn t had any bleeding or anything but Im just wondering what the statistics are for miscarriage for your first pregnancy? A little freaked out and would be devastated to lose our baby.....
6018494 tn?1379878959 No one ever told me that your first pregnancy would be this scary! I'm 8 weeks and 4 days at 7 weeks I started bleeding/spotting and it stopped yesterday!
Avatar f tn Honestly, anytime you bleed in pregnancy there is a 50-50 chance the pregnancy will continue as normal. With my first pregnancy I spotted ob and off for 1 day and then found out 3 weeks later I had a miscarriage. My next pregnancy I bleed worse then a period for 5 weeks straight and she's 4 now.
