Avatar f tn A blighted ovum is a type of miscarriage in which the baby either never develops or stops growing at a very early stage in pregnancy and then disintegrates -- but a gestational sac does develop and the body does not recognize that the baby is missing. Causes: Doctors believe that blighted ovums are the result of chromosomal abnormalities in the fertilized egg. One 1993 study looked at the genetics of blighted ovum miscarriages and found abnormal chromosomes in 67% of the samples.
Avatar f tn Anyone else finally hit the burst of excitement?? I felt like I was dying the last 2 months and now that I'm feeling better I'm stoked. This is my third pregnancy, first ended in miscarriage and second ended with a perfect girl (who just turned one). I'm too excited about gender reveal in a couple of weeks and buying baby things all over again! It took me a little longer to feel so excited, but I blame it on the morning sickness.
Avatar f tn My o b told me it causes miscarriage in early trimester and second trimester and harms the baby in the third I would stay away

9623228 tn?1406019441 So now that I'm in the second trimester, does anyone know percentage rates of miscarriage? During first trimester I had a few complications and was told to rest easy until my second trimester.
Avatar n tn Having had a miscarriage definitely brings on extra worries in pregnancy. I've had two! One last summer, and one earlier this year. Unfortunately the causes are often never discovered. I'm happy to say I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant, the furthest I've made it and all is going well! I wish you the same outcome!! Don't stress - that is some of the best advice. Keep going about your life!!!
Avatar f tn if you are getting to your second trimester doctors should be doing blood work by now because that is not normal. if it is happening early it is usual an issue with chromosomes.
7249862 tn?1392252689 Once you're in you're second trimester you're on the safer side. I had a miscarriage last year while I was in my first trimester so I was a bit worried with this pregnancy. Now that I'm almost in my 3rd trimester I feel safer.
Avatar f tn Your close to the second trimester which is called the honeymoon phase because a lot of your symptoms decrease.
Avatar f tn It's normal :) you are almost in the second trimester. I'm 19 weeks and have never felt pregnant since the very beginning.

Avatar f tn I really am scared through this whole process because I'm scared of miscarriage. DH and I have been fighting the last two days and it got physical many times. Smoking marijuana helps calm me in case an attack of meniere's disease(vestibular disorder that causes vertigo, tinnitus and nausea) tries to come up..how can I be sure to keep my stress levels down until I'm out of the clear of miscarriage? My second month begins tomorrow.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage in Dec of 09 and so I just want to make sure everything is going ok. I had a huge drop in my BBT this morning (97.5) with yesterday's BBT at 98.9. This is really making me nervous. My question to all of you is: Do any of you or HAVE any of you continued to check your BBT while pregnant? If so, did any of you have a drop like this?
Avatar m tn Its when you're cervix is incompetent- doesn't function correctly or the way its supposed to... it happenes in you're second trimester when the baby starts getting a little bigger usually between 17-23 weeks. The cervix can't hold the weight of the baby and you begin dilating without any symptoms. So eventually one day you're menbranes come out or youre water breaks and you have the baby. Sometimes it can be caught in time and you can get a. Wmergen y cerclage..

Avatar f tn It's higher risk to lose the baby in the first trimester. So until like 14 weeks.
Avatar f tn I just went through my 2nd second trimester miscarriage at 14 weeks. 3 Months before I lost in February at the end of 21 weeks. No problem with the baby but my cervix just flops open and that's it. Now for future pregnancies I have to have a cerclage but I'm still worried. 23 years old Hyperthyroid but never was the cause for the miscarriage and is mild so far. Has anyone experience second trimester loss? And/or had a cerclage?
Avatar f tn You are in your second trimester at 14 weeks. The risk of miscarriage does decrease substantially after 12 weeks and even as soon as you hear your babies heart beat through a fetal doppler. It does not mean you are gauranteed not to have a miscarriage, just that it is less likely for your body to reject the fetus.
Avatar f tn She's right because that's also when ur miscarriage rate drops and people start telling friends n family
Avatar n tn I just read that you're 7 weeks pregnant! That's awesome! Congratulations! I pray that miscarriage is something you never have to be even a little concerned about! Wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months!
