1691346 tn?1306927881 I don't think I have ever heard that fingering causing you to loose a baby. Most dr,.'s say it's ok to have sex in the first trimester so I assume that fingering would be ok too, unless your dr. says not to of course.

550943 tn?1330727580 I flew in my first trimester and in my 3rd trimester and my daughter was fine both times. That is even with me having a miscarriage 6 weeks before I conceived her and bleeding from a subchorionic hematoma for 5 weeks during the first trimester.
Avatar f tn most people who have miscarriages will do so in the first trimester, so within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, a number of things can cause them but alot of them will be caused thru chromesomal abnormalities, the baby not forming as it should or implantaion problems
Avatar f tn s miscarriage symptoms in the first trimester or via first-trimester ultrasound for other reasons. If the woman does not have any signs of miscarriage, the diagnosis might not come until in the early second trimester when the baby's heartbeat does not become audible on a heart rate monitor. Avatar f tn I had it in my 1st trimester. However my Dr prescribed me an antibiotic but I couldn't take it until I was 13 weeks. If BY is left untreated it can cause miscarriage or birth problems.
Avatar n tn Did any of you had vaginal yeast infection during first trimester? My doctor perscribed me terconazole. When I got the medication inside of the package it said do not use during first trimester. I researched online and it says that some birth defects can occur.. I spoke with the nurse who said that there is not really anything safer than this medicine and leaving issue untreated can cause miscarriage (if infection gets to the uterus). I really don't know what is best deciduous here.
Avatar f tn I really am scared through this whole process because I'm scared of miscarriage. DH and I have been fighting the last two days and it got physical many times. My second month begins tomorrow.

801514 tn?1273676786 Minnie - I'm sorry for your daughter's loss. Honestly it's hard to say what causes it exactly. It can vary from pregnancy to pregnancy. Typically it's due to chromosomal abnormalities or some type of infection within the uterus or an incompetent cervix. It's sad but almost 20 % of pregnancies end in a miscarriage in the first trimester. You are right most dr's will say once you hear the hb your chances of a miscarriage drop immensely.
1065258 tn?1273784139 At my first sppointment I was 4.5 weeks and they actually did an ultrasound. I was shocked, but of course it was too early to see anything besides the gestational sac. They did a blood test for hcg and progesterone, and I went back 2 days later for another blood draw. I also asked them to screen for toxo because I felt the chances that id been exposed were fairly high as ive been eating rare meat and cookie dough all my life (was hoping for immunity but it came back negative).

Avatar f tn And it can happen at any point in pregnancy though obviously it is most common in the first trimester. 25% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, but only 1% of pregnancies are miscarried after 12 weeks.

Avatar f tn Okay I am in my first trimester and I have been spotting light red and brown blood off and on for almost a month.. I am supposed to schedule a ultrasound here soon but my mind is going crazy..
Avatar f tn s pelvic bones. In the first trimester, falling down stairs during pregnancy or experiencing a similar physical trauma would be unlikely to affect the baby or the placenta. After the first trimester, as the pregnancy progresses and the uterus grows larger, though, there is a risk that a car accident or a fall down the stairs could either harm the baby or damage the placenta and lead to a miscarriage or stillbirth.
Avatar f tn You can tell ppl whenever you want.. its up to you.. yes things can happen in the first trimester but they can also happen in the second and third. Whenever you feel comfortable :) i told my family at 9 weeks.i will b 12 weeks in two days and have yet to tell my work but i think i will soon. I havent told "Facebook" and haven't decided if i ever will.
Avatar n tn The person giving you massage should certified to do so when you are expecting. There are points that shouldn't be massaged in pregnancy. I have read this several places and was told the same by my acupuncturists. I would think you would be ok but make sure your next one is done by someone certified.
Avatar n tn Implantation bleeding. You may experience some normal spotting within the first six to 12 days after you conceive as the fertilized egg implants itself in the lining of the uterus. Some women have light bleeding or spotting very early in pregnancy – near the time their period is due – and they may mistake that for a period. No one knows what causes this.
Avatar f tn ll share what these new doctors say as things come up. Today I am in my first 2 week wait after my last miscarriage, but my husband and I decided not to "diligently" try until next cycle. If you are reading this Helena please keep in mind that I am 44, so my chances of several recurring miscarriage goes up. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I'll be 19 in a couple months and am in my second trimester with my first. My best advice is to not worry so much, eat healthy, listen to your doctor and don't get too stressed out. Though you do have a few medical issues that im sure make you more nervous than some take comfort in the fact that though we're considered young to have children this is the best time, biologically speaking, for us to carry.
Avatar n tn Having had a miscarriage definitely brings on extra worries in pregnancy. I've had two! One last summer, and one earlier this year. Unfortunately the causes are often never discovered. I'm happy to say I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant, the furthest I've made it and all is going well! I wish you the same outcome!! Don't stress - that is some of the best advice. Keep going about your life!!!
