Avatar f tn Please I really wanna know if Endometriosis causes miscarriages Cos have had 2 angel babies now and reading about Endometriosis got me scared lately Cos I have extremely painful periods, excruciating abdominal pain during periods like my abdomen is about to pull out,I feel like something is moving in my lower abdomen during periods and most especially diarrhea during periods....Is it possible to have these symptoms during periods without Endometriosis??
Avatar m tn Hi, The rational of taking hormonal pills is if the pain is because of functional cysts of the ovary. Other causes like pelvic infection and possibility of hydrosalpinx on the other side need to be ruled out. Endometriosis can also be the cause of pain. Hence it would be best to do an ultrasound scan to find out the cause of pain and then take medicines accordingly. Consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I had surgery in August for endometriosis. Couldn't get pregnant for about 2 years. Finally am, but I'm afraid of miscarriage. Has anyone heard of high probabilities of miscarriage?
1414894 tn?1288769040 If a fertilized egg does not attach to the womb lining by the end of the monthly menstrual cycle, the levels of progesterone in the body decrease. This causes the body to shed the womb lining (a menstrual ‘period’). If a fertilized egg successfully attaches to the womb lining by the end of the monthly cycle, progesterone levels in the body remain high. This helps maintain a healthy womb lining for the ongoing pregnancy.
Avatar m tn It depends on the cause of the first miscarriage, but for most women the chance of a second miscarriage is actually LESS. I suffered a miscarriage in November 2011. I'm now 23 weeks pregnant! Good luck to you and your baby!

Avatar f tn One possibility is that it is a miscarriage, if you have a history of unprotected sex. The first period that came could just be a normal period which some women get despite being pregnant. Hence take a pregnancy test and see. If you are miscarrying, it will still be positive. Other causes of heavy bleeding which should be ruled out are fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine polyps, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problems and bleeding disorders.
Avatar f tn Hi! You should go yo the doctor, I have endometriosis too. For me it wasn't hard to get pregnant but I miscarriage twice... My mom has endometriosis too, and she was in a treatment for five years to conceive me and my sister.

Avatar n tn Yes. I found out last summer that I had it. I got pregnant in April. It resulted in an early miscarriage, but I was able to get pregnant. My niece's mother had it and she gave birth to the best niece in the world. :-) I'm currently in my ttw. Baby dusts to both of us.
Avatar f tn Well in 2008 I had a miscarriage, 2012 a stillborn, same year a another miscarriage in the tube, and 2013 and miscarriage in the tube. Me and my husband gave up and prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ if this is what he wants we accepted it. Well he had another journey for us I am 24wks pregnant after the ER told me I had another miscarriage they made a mistake. I'm having a boy and we are both doing well so far. I hope my blessing helps you. Just pray and wait patiently for his answer.
Avatar f tn Polymenorrhea or bleeding from vagina more than once a month could be due to several causes such fibroids, adenomyosis (thickening of uterine wall due to the tissue lining the uterine cavity moving into its muscular wall), endometriosis, uterine polyps, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problems and bleeding disorders. It could also be due to an IUD implant if you have one or due to oral contraceptive pills. It can also be a part of severe pelvic inflammatory disorder.
Avatar f tn But if you had delayed menstrual cycles then get miscarriage ruled out. Hence to rule out miscarriage, you can confirm it by getting your HCG levels checked. In case of pregnancy loss, the value of HCG will return to a non-pregnant range(<5 mIU /L) about 4 - 6 weeks after a pregnancy loss. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.

Avatar f tn I also have endometriosis and bleed 3x a month. However, I have only spotted and can barely even call it that. My fiancee and I have been together 7.5yrs, and just started trying to conceive in the last two, with one miscarriage: ( in which I didn't even know I was pregnant til that day. I am showing all signs, but I'm to nervous to test again or go to OBGYN.I did however check my cervix and its stayed high, hard, and closed since 04/05 (estimated day of conception).

Avatar n tn There are many possible reasons for your period to suddenly become very heavy including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, vaginal infection, hormonal issue, etc. YOur ob/gyn can evaluate you and let you know if anything is going on. There are treatments and medications that you can take to help regulate this, but you would need to see your doctor about it. Good luck.
2002523 tn?1327612787 All causes of bleeding need to be investigated. A prolonged heavy bleeding of any kind from the vagina can be due to a sore or ulcer in vagina as you see in Herpes or otherwise, endometritis or infection of endometrium of uterus, cervicitis or infection of cervix, fibroids (ruled out in your case), vaginal infections, vaginal polyp, endometriosis and cancer of either cervix, uterus or ovary.
Avatar n tn Not because of endometriosis No ... I had the surgery 2 times within 6 months and they told me my case was so bad that i wouldn't ever have kids because all the scarred tissue which i was 17, but here i am 20 years old and 6 months pregnant with my second! I don't think it should worry you because when u get pregnant it dries up the endometriosis, because u no longer have a period which ur period is what it feeds off of and will make it spread !
1454751 tn?1285268086 Many women who have been long term OC users find their natural periods quite heavy, and uncomfortable. Endometriosis can contribute to infertility, and can increase the risk of miscarriage. Studies are mixed as to whether treatment by laser or other surgery improves conception rates. Certainly, if the endometriosis has affected the tubes, removal of blockage or adhesions improves fertility.
Avatar n tn If you have been sexually active, this can be a miscarriage or UTI or a STD. PCOD and endometriosis can also cause similar symptoms. Consult a gynecologist regarding this. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
