Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage by age

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I honestly had no idea at all it was divided by age, but honestly I will continue to not post in the 18 to whatever age group. Mainly because I can not stand having to struggle to understand people because they can't spell. Also, I may be young, being as I'm 17, but I would much rather get advice from older, more experienced mothers. That is just my opinion though. (I hope I don't come across as rude or anything of that sort. Just simply stating my thoughts.
Avatar f tn 28... I'll be 29 when the baby is born in June. I always thought I'd have 2 by now but the timing never seemed right until now.
Avatar n tn 1% live born rate in 45 year olds with IVF, and 3/4 of all positive beta-HCGs end in miscarriage. There were no pregnancies beyond age 45. Two other studies, one from the UK and one from Israel, showed even more discouraging results - 0% pregnancy rates in women aged 44 and older. Even if you are fortunate enough to get pregnant at age 46, 75%-80% of the time the pregnancy ends in miscarriage.
Avatar f tn you can do it while still pregnant, its got risks and can cause miscarriage. you can wait and do it when its born also.
Avatar f tn I'm 44 and 9 weeks pregnant. I have never miscarried but know at my age the risk is doubled. Has any one miscarried at my age and if so when. Wortied.
Avatar f tn Does this mean a) I should not pursue IVF b) I have an increased risk of miscarriage because of the AMH numbers [I realize by age thus egg quality I am more prone to miscarriage] Also, Is femara a better choice than clomid because of thinning of uterine linings?
Avatar f tn Is there a possiblity i may have a miscarriage? what are the chances? and is it normal for my gestational age not match the ultrasound? answers greatly appreciated!!!
Avatar f tn well the same thing happened to me i miscarried march 20,,i had a U/S the week befor that i was supposed to be 7 weeks and my fetus was only 4,,that was like march 13 they put me on bed rest and told me not to do any heavy lifting just to basically stay in bed all day and rest,,and march 20th i miscarried,,so yes it could be very possible
Avatar n tn 3rd--Has your daughter been seen by an OB/GYN? They can tell her the age (in weeks) of the fetus, long before an amnio is performed. There is also a genetic test called CVS (similar to amnio) but is done closer to 11 weeks pregnant and is an option to detect any genetic/chromosone abnormalities. Both of these tests Amnio/CVS come with a slight risk of miscarriage.
Avatar f tn In May I had a miscarriage and had a D&C. Four weeks later I had my first period but on the 7th of July I had a PT done and it came out positive when I hadn't had any intercourse since my period. Could i actually be pregnant or my hormone levels haven't reached zero yet?
Avatar n tn t know your age but that would be informative as you are asking about confounding issues. The two confounders are that with increasing age miscarriage rates increase (most commonly due to an increase in chromosomal abnormalities secondary to aging oocytes), and with increasing age the menstrual cycle can begin to vary in length by 7 days or more.
Avatar f tn I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant and last night I went to unplug my sons night light and felt a shock. I immediately pulled my hand away but I felt the shock go from my finger to my elbow. I'm now extremely worried I'm going to have a miscarriage. Does anyone know whether or not it could cause a miscarriage??
869682 tn?1240103890 when i went to my ultrasound this past wed ( the 15th of april) they told me that my baby didnt have a heart beat. they said by next week i should have a miscarriage .... they also said if i didnt they would check me again on the 21st to make sure there still is no heart beat. and if there isnt... they were going to sucktion my baby out. the thing is something deep down tells me its not right.... like maybe they are wrong. should i get a second opinion?
Avatar m tn m just curious about the ages of you ladies. I know a woman never tells her age lol but i thought this might be fun. Im 20 and this is my 1st.
Avatar f tn ) and this will be our last baby so it gets it all out the way in 1 go lol good luck :)
Avatar f tn So its been 4days since my miscarriage, n I wanna do something for my baby. But not sure what. Its hard to understand I lost my baby, I still can't believe but I do wanna do something. I lost my baby at 5 weeks, today I would b 6. It hurts me but I'm find in my way.
Avatar f tn At my first, they said i was only 5 weeks 4 days gestation. What they go by is conception, not the first day of your last period. They may ask you that question but thats just know what they're supposed to expect seeing. Your uterus doesn't start growing until that fertilized egg is implanted, which could take 10 to 15 days. Therefore its 1 to 2 weeks behind your normal weeks. Does that make sense? I'm not a bit worried about my baby.
Avatar n tn I know I might be a high risk mum at this age. I hv a pretty healthy and adorable daughter aged 3 now. I was advised by gynae to take amniocentesis test at week16th. It does frighten me. What are the chances of getting a bb with down syndrome?
Avatar f tn That is not true I was 16 when I had my daughter nd I went over my due date.
