I got pregnant after ivf. I went for 1st beta :66. Second:87 Third:80. I'm not bleeding because i am taking progesterone. They want to run another blood test on Friday. Why? If it's a miscarriage, why don't i stop the progesterone now, what's the point?? Anybody in same situation? Thanks!
Pregnant and went in for early progesterone test at 5wks, no bleeding. progesterone level 6 now taking inserts. Has anyone gone on to have a healthy baby incase such as this?
I was almost positive I was having another miscarriage. I went in to my OB; hcg 2,000 and progesterone 6. OB started me on progesterone supp, 100mg at bedtime. Also, had a sono and there was a heartbeat, although it wasn't audible.
I continue to have bright bleeding, but am so confussed as to what in the world is going on!! Has anyone had any experiences with this? I would also love to know if anyone has had a viable pregnancy with moderate bleeding and low progesterone.

Make sure you talk about maybe you not producing enough progesterone, which could be the reason to your bleeding. They can give you progesterone suppositories that you insert vaginally nightly or you can also do orally and take a pill. There's options! Insurance may not cover so be prepared to pay. Good luck!
I did have this pain like cramps but weren't sereve,and I did get some clots but only one time and then next time I went to the bathroom it was turning pink for some reason,haha.
How are you? I worry about this alot since I had a miscarriage over a year ago. No one sat down and counseled me. They just kept drawing blood levels til tge numbers were nil. Um...I am not very knowledgeable about progesterone but from what I understand it is a hormone taken to provide the pregnancy with what it needs until the placenta takes over. Did the doctor do a blood test to see if your progesterone levels were low? I don't think progesterone has any birth defects for the baby...lots of women take it in very early pregnancy (usually stop by week 10 I think). Bleeding doesn't mean a miscarriage is imminent.
215 progesterone:23.5. Then on Feb 10 they were HCG: 1850 progesterone and 32.5 and yesterday Feb 14 they were hcg: 8880 progesterone: 28.5. My doctor called today and put me on the prometrium capsule in the morning as well. Is it normal for progesterone to fluctuate like this.. My doctor likes to see it above 35.. t stop a miscarriage from happening if its due to chromosomal abnormalities. It will prevent a miscarriage that would have occurred due to low progesterone levels. I had to take it while pregnant with my daughter, an everything turned out fine. It sounds like you have an issue with progesterone which the prometrium will fix.

It looks like I will soon be leaving the forum, I woke up this morning bleeding, I am just under 10 weeks, all my breast soreness and sickness have suddently gone and I have been passing small clots with the blood. Yes. I have been taking progesterone prescribed by my doctor since about the 5th week of pregnancy. I had one miscarriage before my current pregnancy and if I did not begin taking the progesterone early during this pregnancy, I believe I may have lost this one as well. The hormone stopped the bleeding I was experiencing and has been protecting the baby until the placenta was formed.
The pregnancy that I miscarried my hCG was rising appropriately but my Progesterone began dropping. I started bleeding and miscarried before the Progesterone supplements made a difference. I believe I wouldn't have miscarried if I had the Progesterone but I won't know until I die and meet God.
Anyway the pregnancy after my loss I started taking Progesterone right away and had my baby girl full-term. This pregnancy my hCG was rising again but the Progesterone dropped again.
What are they doing to prevent another miscarriage? Are you on Prometrium (or another progesterone supplement)? Or taking baby aspirin? There are some preventative measures to take to prevent miscarriage if it is recurrent and they know why you keep miscarrying (depending on what is going on).
They need to check your HCG levels. They should double every 48-72 hours.
They also need to check your progesterone.
I saw your other comment/question to me on another thread. You asked me how long we planned on waiting before trying again because I'm having a miscarriage right now as well. Ugh, by the way, I'm so ready for the bleeding/spotting to be over. It's like a constant reminder.
Anyway, this is my 2nd miscarriage. I had a miscarriage in 2006. We started trying immediately (even before my first period) after the 1st miscarriage.
Was checked at ER and everything ok. hcg was 17-they said was very early.They also checked my progesterone level. Sat. night late had heavier red bleeding like period. Went back to ER they said was m/c most likely. Sunday afternoon had cramping and bleeding. Did not take Prometrium the night before due to being told I was having m/c. I called my OB Sunday. He said to keep taking the Prometrium and have my hcg rechecked Monday. I did. Monday my hcg was 44.
I did the embryo transfer 8 days ago. I started getting brownish pink discharge last night and this evening it looks like a between spotting and a light period... I am currently taking vaginal progesterone... Do u think it's due to that or early signs of miscarriage? My blood test isn't till this coming Monday.., so scared and nervous now...
