Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage bleeding after period

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and I was bleeding for 70 days when it was all said and done. After bleeding for 13 I seen my doctor and found out i was pregnant. After that i continued to bleed until finally losing the baby. I did it natural and never had a D&C done. After 70 days of bleeding I finally seen the remains of the baby come out. So, it may be possible. Just watch it and if you are worried consult your doctors always!
Avatar f tn I had an incomplete miscarriage at the end of August. After getting a d&c my period has not returned. I've only had a bit of spotting for two days last week. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn I am feelling crampy again and bleeding could this be my first period since miscarriage? It seems very quick after my miscarriage to be my period?
3198629 tn?1367038423 It could take a couple of months to get back into your normal cycle or it could happen straight away. For me though, I had my period 5 weeks after the bleeding stopped. An ovation test may help. In terms of testing now, I would take one a week until either get a positive or period starts. Good luck, I really hope you get a positive result.
1432875 tn?1283386480 I miscarried on the 27th of August at somewhere between 10 and 20 weeks with HCG of 2500, the 29th of August was the last day i had heavy bleeding, the 3rd of September was the last day i had spotting, and the 9th of September my HCGs were down to 4.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage in January. After 30 days, in February I had a slight period, maybe 2 days, very light. In March, I had a slight period - 3 days, very light. After this period, I got back on birth control. The week before I was supposed to start my period (based on my pills), I started spotting. The week I was supposed to start my period (while taking the white pills), I hardly bled at all, a little spotting.
Avatar f tn when i had miscarriage i bled for one week after that i had the remnant evacuated and the bleeding stop immediately after the evacuation.
1373996 tn?1278616462 This is my first period after my miscarriage on June 8th. It started on the 6th and it is very, very heavy. It is very dark red at times and is thick. I almost thought that I was prego again because of my body signs, however now I am thinking that I might of had another miscarriage. Is that possible? Or are some first periods after a miscarriage this way?
Avatar f tn Was anybody's period extremely heavy and with bad cramping after their miscarriage. I also had a big clot .. is this normal?
Avatar f tn I found out about a week after my period was late. So I was only like 3 weeks pregnant. I thought it was silly to test so early but I'm glad I did. I too had a miscarriage about 4 months before. So I started eating healthy right away, taking my multivitamin, cutting back on caffiene, avoiding hottubs... all that good stuff. I suggest get test from the dollar tree and you can test every few days.
Avatar f tn Also the nurse said it could be left overs from my miscarriage but a entire 10 days after my miscarriage?
Avatar n tn how can i stop bleeding after a miscarriage? i miscarried on july 3 2008.
Avatar f tn 5 weeks pregnant), bled for 15 days, and started my first period 31 days after the procedure. This period has lasted for six weeks now and I am getting pretty frustrated. I called my doctor who said that my body is just trying to recover, but didn't say much else and made an appointment for December. I was on the pill for almost ten years and got pregnant as soon as I went off, so I am not sure what a "normal" cycle is for me. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
547512 tn?1273245025 t comment when my period will come back with this one. But, with the others I got a period about 5-6 weeks after all bleeding stopped.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor yesterday. He told me it was normal for a period to be heavy after a miscarriage because is basically cleaning out any extra tissues (which are the blood clots) leftover. Therefore everything should be back to normal afterwards but if the bleeding is gets heavier or it continues on for an extended period then it's best to go to the hospital ASAP because it's considered very dangerous.
Avatar n tn It could also just be your body getting itself back to normal after the m/c and your period could be getting ready to show up. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had to light bleeding around noon when I wipe nothing else after that. Then today after helping hubby wash car I had some light bleeding again when I wipe. Then went back 10 min later no blood.I dont no if I could be pregnant again or if this is AF. Maybe someone will give us some advice that would help both of us.
1511959 tn?1298280013 Sometimes bleeding after a loss stops and starts a few times. It could also be your cycle. I ovulated very quickly after my last loss, and actually got pregnant with my now 10 month old son right away...before a regular cycle. If you are not uncomfortable don't worry too much about it. Go with what feels right to you. If concerned, give your Dr. a call, but unless you are showing signs of infection (bad smell, fever or chills, etc.) I am fairly confident it's not a problem.
Avatar f tn i had unprotected sex with my bf on abt 8th november and the next day my period started. this was a late period about 5 days. after 6 days my period ended. but after 9,10 days my period started again with heavy bleading and still continuous (14/12/2011).
Avatar f tn Its from the date you actually miscarried(when you had heavy bleeding or when you passed tissue), if you are getting your hcg levels watched to make sure they go back to zero, you should count from when it hits zero.. after my first mc my period came 27 days after and the second it was about 35 days after..so it does vary. Hope this helps some.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage at 9+5 in August last year. It took me exactly 4 weeks after the bleeding had stopped (from the miscarriage) to get my period but my doctor said it can take 4-8 weeks to get a period. It also depends how far along you were when you lost the baby and your menstrual cycle. I hope you're doing well. Also, you're super fertile after miscarriage, so it is possible to get pregnant very shortly after.
Avatar f tn Everyone is different. I got mine three weeks after the bleeding stopped from my miscarriage. But my doctor said anything up to two months is normal.
5254452 tn?1365626751 I am sorry to know about the miscarriage. Usually bleeding after miscarriage does not last for more than two weeks. After the bleeding stops in 10 to 15 days the miscarriage is considered complete. In few situations the bleeding may last long. An incomplete miscarriage or presence of pregnancy tissues which may be left in the uterus may be few possibilities. If the symptoms are severe and persistent a clinical examination may be necessary.
