Avatar m tn I am concerned about this and wish to remove her from soy and try almond milk (she has no tree nut allergies). My concern is almond milk has very little protein. What should I give her to provide her with enough protein that cow's milk has? Do I give her protein pills? Are there any side effects of almond milk?

Avatar m tn I'm not a fan of soy milk either. Long list of potential imbalances and hormonal effects. I'm also not a big fan of drinking milk anyway (I prefer getting my dairy through yogurt, kefir, cheese, etc) and for drinking I prefer water (for cold) and tea or espresso (for hot). And I enjoy my one glass of red wine for dinner. I also eat full fat dairy, use cream and butter and ghee in my food, opting always for grass fed free range, to get very high quality macro and micronutrients.
Avatar f tn I am 15weeks just wondering if you think there is such think as drinking too much Milk? It seems like no matter how much I drink I just want more lol what do you think?
4715985 tn?1371582997 I was In the exact same boat when I was In my first and second trimester. I was ALWAYS hungry. I felt like my baby was stealin' all the food and left nothin' for me, so I had to eat some more, and more, and more haha. But once I hit the third trimester, It went down drastically. Now, I don't ever feel like eatin' but It could be because how big he Is now and I can only eat so much without feelin' sick now.
Avatar m tn As Ive started thinking more and more, when I was working out I remember I couldnt find a protein powder that sat well with me. I kept switching. Milk, and dairy of such doesnt give me diarrhea or pain, like common lactose tolerance symptoms. Milk just alters my stools, turning them light colored after a few days of drinking it. So does sour cream and ice cream. I dont have this problem with cheese, and the lactose tolerance pills did not make a difference in this, because I tried them.
Avatar f tn if you masturbate too much then the reason is mainly too much protein in-take and too much sex hormone production. To control hormone reduce in take of such hormone producing food and reduce protein in take. As you are growing now you must take protein but do not take more than required for your age. Excess protein is not stored as it happens with fat or carbohydrates (starch or sugar). Hence too much protein induce sexual activities.
Avatar n tn Opt for milk, rather than a soda - milk has a lot of protein, and other vitamins for very few calories. I do agree with FurballsMom - a better option would be take along healthy alternatives. Carry celery or carrot sticks with single serving packs of peanut butter, for snacks; for a sweet treat, pack along a cupfull of grapes, an apple or a pear. Fill up on air popped popcorn. Salads can get boring, so try wrapping your salad fixings in a tortilla or stuff it into a pita.
Avatar n tn None have worked for me but every child is different: avocado, peanut butter, goat's milk, whole milk yogurt, fruits like apples that are high in natural sugars, grilled cheese with natural cheese, ground flax seed in bread and cookies (I make flaxseed oatmeal cookies)...
Avatar f tn I tried googling this earlier in my pregnancy and didn't like what I found... that none are really "good" for me or baby right now. I went with veggie & fruit smoothies and used soy milk as it had higher protein content (vs other but mills). But I want to know if anyone else has found out anything else!
Avatar f tn s how much my newborn was eating. 2 ounces every 3 hours. Then at around 3 months, she was drinking almost 4 oz every 3 hours.
Avatar f tn Whey protein can be very hard to assimilate for people who have dairy problems, which is most people, although it is much easier to assimilate than milk or cheese. The fact is, any protein supplement is a protein supplement -- they are all formulated to have lots of protein. The only question is how well you assimilate the source of the protein -- some people can't do whey, some can't do soy. The easiest for most people is rice protein.
Avatar f tn You can also use flavored Greek yogurts, but watch the calorie count as some have a lot more sugar than the plain yogurt, and by the time you add milk and the protein powder you might have more calories than you bargained for. I have more recipes, if you're interested, but they aren't much different from these. Your imagination and tastebuds are the only limits to what you can put into a smoothie.

Avatar f tn How much water do you know to drink a day? And what if you don't have the Money to eat healthy?
Avatar m tn Try feeding him food of high nutritional value so he gets as much protein and calories as he needs. For example, having a protein source each meal --- meat / fish or cheese or yogurt; with a carbohydrate --- bread, pasta, rice, cereal; and a fat ---- pat of butter or mayonnaise if you made a sandwich. Good protein sources are meats, chicken, fish, beef, pork, etc.; and dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheeses, pudding, and ice cream. It is good he eats pork and chicken.
