These products have ingredients such as collagen, keratin, elastin, milk, and wheat, almond or silk. Hair sprays that include methyldibromo glutaronitrile may cause hives. Hives due to permanent waving have been noted rarely. If one of these products causes hives then contact with the product should be avoided".

Avatar f tn t use too much protein (keratin) Cuz it will make your hair break off worse. If the shampoo n conditioner you are using has more than one protein (keratin) in it then switch. Morraconoil hydrating shampoo n conditioner is amazing. Anti snap from redken would be good for you as well. It stops your hair from breaking. Just use a little on the ends or anywhere youre having breakage. Also Don't wash your hair everyday Cuz that can make it dryer as well. .
Avatar m tn Hair health requires good nutrition with enough iron, vitamin C, B Vitamins and essential fatty acids. Eating more protein can reduce hair loss. Protein can be obtained from pulses, soya products, whole grains, dairy products, eggs, meat and fish. Increasing intake of citrus fruits, berries and green vegetables will boost vitamin C and aid circulation.Use only mild shampoos and conditioners made from natural ingredients. Use a good brush and don’t pull or damage the hair.
Avatar n tn Maybe you changed shampoo, conditioner, hair product? I'm interested to know the brand of whey powder you take. Would you private message me? I have a reason for asking.
Avatar f tn t panic it happened to me too. I called my hair dresser crying. Get a conditioner with a lot of protein and use it every time you shower. Some people when pregnant get long thick hair and some have opposite where their hair gets weaker. Both can happen and I was told it was normal. It gets better the further along you get and (supposedly) goes away after you have baby. Im 29 weeks and mine has already stopped losing so much hair.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure what's causing the hair loss but one thing you can do is use less conditioner. Conditioner actually hurts your hair more then it helps. Also use a brush with thin bristles.
Avatar f tn I don't even use conditioner lol conditioner doesn't clean your hair, shampoo does. I've never really used conditioner, its always made my hair healthier and better looking. Just being pregnant has made it damaged because of all the hormones.
Avatar f tn If your hair is lackluster you can add it to your conditioner or even put a little in your hands and rub it through your hair daily.
Avatar f tn I am on t3 and t4 (Cytomel and Lyvoxl) and losing hair. Washing my hair (normally long and thick) yesterday, a nest the size of a golf ball came out. My scalp itches terribly and I am literally tearing my hair out. Most of the itching is at the crown, more on the right side than the left, and I'm getting a bald spot there. But all of the crown area has definitely thinned. I am on bio-idential HRT program which has been working well for two years.

Avatar n tn I would suggest you to clean your hair frequently with a mild shampoo(you can use the ones for oily hair) and don’t apply any conditioner on the hair. Also you can shampoo twice during each wash and apply shampoo on the scalp without piling the hair on top. It makes sense to avoid the use of conditioner as it also tends to make the scalp oily. When shampooing the hair, switch from warm water to cool water after you've thoroughly rinsed away the shampoo.
Avatar f tn It's called Moroccan shampoo and conditioner it's a bit on the pricey side but it's worth it, once you aww your hair getting better start using it as a treatment for your hair once a week instead of using it all the time with your hair :) not sure if you are from Canada but they have them in Beauty stores here but cheaper at a Walmart or shoppers drug mart
Avatar f tn Morraconoil shampoo and conditioner are awesome. . Also they have a hydrating hair mask which is amazing. Paul Mitchell Instant moisture is really nice as well. When my hair is dry I condition it twice and that helps alot. Try to wash your hair every second day.. washing it everyday makes it drier too. :) hope this helps.
4738473 tn?1360035798 Try only using your conditioner on the ends of your hair, not all over. It helped me. I also went to washing my hair every other day. That helped.
Avatar m tn I also use their shampoo and conditioner and my hair stayed shiny with very little dryness. It did get a little shaggy looking towards the end but no breakage. I probably had around 30 percent hair loss and post six months it has grown back nicely. I also cut it in a short bob which made it look much fuller. So I can from my experience coloring my hair didn't impact the hair loss or impede regrowth after tx.
871965 tn?1241833146 Hi Everyone, As far as you know are there any restrictions on shampoo, conditioner, or hair gels, such as straightening balm during pregnancy. I understand that hair straightening in the salon or highlighting is questionable but I don't know about any shampoos, conditioners or gels that might be harmful. Is there a certain INGREDIENT in these products to stay clear of? Thanks everyone!
Avatar f tn Hospitals provide almost everything. I packed my phone charger, PJs and a change of clothes a few baby outfits, a baby blanket and travel boddles of shampoo/conditioner because I'm picky about my hair and they won't have the stuff I like.
