Oats are good, cereal, yoghort , eggs, fingers of toast with jelly /peanut butter, make sure there is no allergy, fruits, Bananas are a wonderful fruit for a child .Later in the day , pasta, beans, chicken pieces, fish sticks, chunks of cheese, noodle chicken stars and soups .
1900997 tn?1321659956 a couple of hours later, I get ferocious stomach pain and flatulence that smells of milk, quite often also diarrhoea. So I switched to lactose-free milk, but this has not brought about any improvement whatsoever. Skimmed milk is just as bad as full fat, so it can't be the fat content either.
Avatar n tn This past January I took her to an allergist who diagnosed (scratch test) her with allergy to milk, casein, corn, tomato, carrots, bannana, apple, grapes. The doctor told me to avoid these foods and do food test. She has been doing much better but something just didn't seem right. I have found that she breaks out from other foods that I give her as well... It just seems like too many foods to be possible...Last week I took her to a different allergiest for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn Continued that day then diarrhea for approx 4 to 5 days. Recently a GI diagnosed possible DELAYED MILK Allergy. He does keep a mild bumpy rash on upper arms. My concern is can this type of allergy really cause this type of cycle? I would think he would have more symptoms closer together. We began NO milk protein diet& scheduled MRI next month. Will MRI only show brain or can they see intestinal problems as well?
6224500 tn?1388947668 I have been getting a lot of digestive problems after eating gluten/lactose containing food and drink, however I only seem to be getting these issues in the morning. Typical pattern each day: I eat gluten/wheat/flour/lactose containing food in the morning and within 5-20 minutes I get bloating, gas and a sudden urge to go the toilet but am constipated (it comes out hard and in small bits).
Avatar f tn We finally decided to explore the possibility it might be a food allergy, and tried eliminating milk products from our diet. For a while it seemed to get better, but he is starting to feel rotten again. Could this be some other type of food allergy?
1666434 tn?1325262350 Yes, what was said about the connection of echinacea to ragweed allergies is correct. The other one to watch out for with cross reactions is chamomile. Same family, oddly enough. Actually, all of the daisy family. So, be on the watch for possible problems with sunflowers, such as the sunflower seed oil that is often used. Sassy Lassie, I do think you'll enjoy rice milk. It is probably the best alternative for people with a lot of allergies, such as yourself.
Avatar f tn I was advised with my daughter to get her tested for milk allergy, casein sensitivity before changing her diet (although I did temporarily change it and had problems getting her to eat anything so I talked to her pediatrician and that's why they tested her... got a big lecture on not goign to the pediatrician first before doing anything). Her developmental pediatrician who diagnosed her with PDD also cautioned me against changing diet with consulting a doctor first.
Avatar n tn She started kindergarden and was doing well, then she had a severe rash, I thought an allergic reaction, new doctor said virus not allergy and it has nothing to do with behavior. She had four meltdowns that week. It has been a month or so and she has been geting angry and scratching adults and children, she never hurt others before. She feels bad after and knows its wrong but said something is wrong inside of her. She even woke at night kicking her best friend.
Avatar m tn The baby may show reaction towards breast milk also if the mother is taking dairy products in her diet.Diagnosis of milk allergy can be confirmed after skin ***** or patch tests and food challenge tests.Confirmation can be done with blood tests like RAST.It also helps in differentiating milk allergy from lactose intolerance. You need to consult an allergy specialist for that. Treatment involoves elimination of all dairy products from the diet.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?
Avatar f tn i know you want your baby to grow healthy but if you caught this that early the the less problems you will have later...my daughter is two she has a milk allergy and the doctor just figured it out cuz she was havin runny bowels still and had never had a regular stool. it would make him alot happier. best wishes!!
Avatar f tn It is very easy to determine milk allergy. I assume its allergy to milk of dairy origin. Try to go off milk and milk products and see if the tightness in your chest disappears. Read all labels of any products you buy in the market—medicines, processed and canned food—anything, carefully to see if they have milk products in them. Now the good news! Every cloud has a silver lining. There are many alternate or non dairy sources of milk like soy milk, rice milk etc.
1198633 tn?1341182388 ve had all my troubles (EKG, 24-Hour Holter Monitor, EGD, colonoscopy, various blood tests) and had my gallbladder removed as it was thought to be the cause of my problems. Finally getting somewhere, just a couple days ago I received results back from a food allergy blood test that shows that I'm allergic to corn, wheat, soybeans, and peanuts.
Avatar n tn s a milk allergy, because I can eat regular cheese without problems and can have lactose-free milk in my coffee with no problems (my husband is lactose intolerant so it is all we have in the house). I have tried lacto-free yogurt as well and it seemed to be okay to eat. So obviously treatment is as simple as avoiding the trigger foods, but I'd like to understand this better since it's a fairly new problem and I've been eating these foods for years.
1176038 tn?1263687032 I think it could very well be a milk allergy - I had a milk allergy as a child and had the same symptoms, as well as vomiting and abdominal pain. i would contact her pediatrician again and ask him for advice on trying a milk-free diet to see if it helps her symptoms.
2030686 tn?1351688548 I am allergic to milk and eggs and am wondering how important it is to avoid them during tx. I have only a slight allergy to milk. I just can't eat anything with a milk base or drink milk, but I can eat things with milk as an ingredient. Eggs I don't tolerate unless it's in baked goods, even then I have problems sometimes. If I'm understanding it right, it's my immune system that is the source of the reaction. So, how important is it for me to avoid these during tx?
231441 tn?1333892766 My family seem to have a lot of allergy, with some of her cousins having problems with bananas, high amine, high salicilate foods, among others - and me and my sisters having problems with other foods (asthma induced by concentrated tomato products), coeliac issues. So I will try to be more cautious with her foods.
Avatar n tn He could have a gluten allergy or a milk allergy. You may want to get him tested or watch for any sign of rash after eating. You could also keep a daily log of what he eats to see if there is a connection on the days that are the worst.
Avatar m tn I believe that they have an allergy to milk. It seems like everytime we give them some form of milk, ice cream, yogurt, it seems to make their nose run and cough. for example last night we gave our 21month old ice cream for a dessert after supper. Shes goes to bed at 7:30pm and by 10pm she was up coughing. She didnt have any ice cream the night before and was never up coughing.. Same goes for our 5 year old give any type of milk before bed, 99% of the time she is up coughing.
Avatar m tn Both allergies/sensitivities can cause overall health problems. Milk allergies also frequently increase sinus problems. The eye and sinus symptoms are usually helped by allergy shots if airborne allergies are the main cause. If you gave the shots atleast a couple of months to work and saw no benefit, I would strongly suspect milk to be the culprit.
Avatar f tn For a nine year old, this is complicated. Goat's milk is milk, and though it's easier on the human body than cow's milk, it's still milk, so the question is why milk is being discontinued. A lactose intolerant person might very well still be lactose intolerant to goat's milk, for example, but someone who has digestive problems with cow's milk might not with goat's milk. There's also a taste issue.
Avatar n tn t even have half a cup of 1% milk with cereal. i tried switching to soy milk and there were no problems stomach-wise. it's just hard to find a really tasty soy milk. my sister suggested to try goat's milk because it's easier for human stomachs to digest vs cow's milk. i only started goat's milk 2 days ago. so far it's not so bad. i don't get the bad taste but still have slight gas and slight stomach discomfort. no bad aftertaste, though.
