It did occur after using a small weedeater for 10 minutes, but I'm not that out of shape! The fatigue eventually manifested itself as a severe tremor where my left arm shook uncontrollably. I also had some facial discomfort and some mild discomfort in the very back of my head (off and on).

Avatar m tn However, in general, some sensory loss in the face can occur with disorders such as stroke and multiple sclerosis, though with a normal good-quality MRI of the brain these can be excluded. Another possibility is a process affecting the trigeminal nerve (the nerve that supplies innervation to the face). The nerve could be affected in various areas of the brain, but other associated findings such as face weakness or weakness of the eye muscles would be expected too.

My husband had a "mild" stroke on Dec 18, and we are still trying to figure out how to process all the changes that have occurred in our lives. We're not even sure what "mild" means for he had a stroke that left his entire left side affected (with little to no sensation), but his speech, mobility and brain functions seem relatively unimpaired.

Avatar n tn I am a 38year old male, with recently diagnosed mild hypertension (typically 140/90). I am not particularly overweight (190lbs, 6'0"). I do not smoke, drink reasonably moderately (normally two days a week alcohol free, 2-3 standard drinks other days), and walk/run 3.75miles 3-4 days per week. My work is white-collar, office bound and prone to regular senior management stress levels.
Avatar n tn I am a 38 year old female who suffered a mild stroke 3 weeks ago. I was approx 12 weeks pregnant at the time. I have not used birth control pills for almost 10 years. The doctors say it was a blod clot in the thalmus (sp?) region. My deficits are a blind spot in the left side of both eyes and a numb left arm. The doctors cannot tell me what brought on the stroke, although they say the pregnancy may have caused a hypercoaguble state.

Avatar f tn Hi Toria , It may not be a mild stroke since a stroke can be diagnosed by an MRI and a stroke has associated nervous system symptoms like vertigo , slurred speech , double vision and others .There are various other causes of muscle weakness on one side of the body . They are muscle stimulation disorders , peripheral nerve disorders , nerve impingement in the spine . Did you go for an MRI spine with contrast ?

Avatar n tn At 39 I was diagnosed with a TIA/mini-stroke. Initial Sympton: White light covered my sight and I started to mumble and unable to formulate words/or communicate with my co-workers. A highly respected neurologist, after many many tests...

Even young people can sometimes get under so much stress that they can have a stroke. On the other hand this could be the same thing my cousin has had before. My cousin drank a lot of soda's and he started to develope a pain in his right arm, so they tookd him to the doctor and did all kinds of test.

Avatar f tn The CINE MRI done recently shows no significant change in herniation, and similar to the last exam, there is a high signal CSF flow in the anterior spinal column at the foramen magnum, and low signal CSF flow in the posterior spinal column consistent with decreased flow. The flow obstruction is considered mild. Scattered foci of high T2/FLAIR signal likely represent chronic microvascular ischemic changes.
Avatar m tn bronchitis) I have had several ECHO's and the results always read mild left concentric hypertrophic, systolic anterior movement of my mitral valve, moderate MR and LAE. The cardiologist that reads the echo says its related to my high blood pressure.. again, I do not have high blood pressure and no one seems to listen. The strange thing is that high blood pressure is never mentioned in my records, and every time they take it for my office visit it is always in the normal range.

Avatar f tn My daughter is a cosmetologist and she told me the topo causes the hair follicles to close. What has fallen out, wont grow back, but the hair loss should stop when you discontinue the drug. The Topo really messed up my cycle too. I think my adrenals took a hard hit from just two weeks on the drug. For me it was not worth it. I was stupid, depressed and started having panic attacks on it. I would loose blocks of time. Huge blocks.
