Common Questions and Answers about Metoprolol zok

toprol

Avatar n tn Hi, I tried twice to go cold turkey with selo-zok(also a betablocker). my dose was 25mg x 2. I wouldn't recommend that... My heart was jumping, loads of pvc, extreme headache for 2 days. cutting a pill in half sound like a good idea. I think that you may need weeks to wean the metroprolol off. Strange the cardiologist didn't gave you some info when he said that you could stop taking this, but anyways, get some advice from you doctor good luck to you!
Avatar m tn 6ml – 2 x 1 Cordarone 200 – 2x2 = 800 mg daily Metoprolol Succinate ER - Seloken ZOK, 1x1, 50mg tabs Coumadin – 5 mg, 1x1 Coraspin 100 – aspirin Question: Many of these drugs have serious interactions and some seem to be a heavy dose. Do you think I should take them or get a second opinion from a different cardiologist?
Avatar f tn Today I went to visit cardiologist and told me there is nothing else to do for me but getting an ablation, which I would surely do, if not knowing that in Ecuador there is a very few cases like mine and risks during the procedure are higher compared to the ones performed in the USA or Europe. In the meantime, he switched Atenolol for Metoprolol (Betablok Zok), in an attempt to decrease symptoms, and I am supposed to started all of a sudden tonight.

Avatar f tn I have been taking flecainide 100 twice daily for a month...first bout with afib. I also take the metoprolol 100 twice daily. I am 37 and never had anything wrong with me accept an occasional cavity. One night about 3 months ago i awoke at about 2:00 A.M. with the afib. Told my wife "HELP IM DYING" so she says lets go to the ER. Heartrate 200 a min BP 180/110. I really thaught i was dying.
Avatar n tn My irregularity started about 2 months after my blood pressure medicine was doubled. Now I'm on a low dose beta blocker (metoprolol) which seems to help the irregularity. I still have it from time to time though. A trip to the er got me this list of non-heart-related causes: certain medicines (asthma inhalers and decongestants); some herbal supplements; illegal stimulant drugs; caffeine, alcohol and tobacco; medical conditions such as thyroid disease, anemia, anxiety, and panic disorder.
