toprol

Avatar n tn I tried to withdraw from it. I took diovan hct and metoprolol after I withdrew from the cardizem cd but after 24 hours my heart rate was up to 110 bpm. my bp was normal but none of the other meds would bring my heart rate down. I took my regular dosage of the cardizem cd and my heart rate came back down to normal. after taking it for about 10 months now I seem to be experiencing circulation problems in my lower legs and feet that seems to be getting progressively worse.
Avatar n tn ve been on Benicar HCT 40/12.5 for years, it does a great job on my BP, down from 140/90 to my current 90 day average of 106/65, however it has no effect on heart rate. You could take a beta blocker, they will lower your HP, partly by lowering your heart rate but they may make you feel excessively fatigued.
Avatar f tn Six months ago I complained of chest pain and diastolic pressure was 41. My doctor took me off of metoprolol and ordered tests from a cardiologist.Tests were all fine the pain went away and diastolic pressure returned to normal until a week ago. The chest pain has returned and the diastolic pressure is 53.I am currently on benicar hct 40/25 and my bp has been 126/53. Should I stop taking the benicar? Not sure what to make of the chest pain.I am a 48 yr. old female other wise in good health.
Avatar m tn with high blood pressure and have been taking Valsartan 320mg w/HCT 25mg along with Amlodipine 2.5mg (which was prescribed in August 2014). My most recent Primary Doc just switched me to Metoprolol Tarta 25mg and off of the Amlodipine to see if that was the cause of the Vertigo, sadly the symptoms are still there.
Avatar m tn 1. Splenic contarctions under duress can affect HCT count 2. Dehaydration can also be a cause, though vet said potassium levels were normal, in fact they were super high-normal, one more point and they would be high on the reference range 2. Dipstick analysis prone to false positives, therefore questioning accuracy of +++ on protein My questions: 1) Blood was drawn at 6pm, did not leave for the lab until after 9am the following morning. Could suspect handling/storage impact HCT readings?
Avatar n tn diagnostic test results; WBC 4.8, RBC 4.89, HGB15, HCT 43.5, PLATELETS 301, LYMPHS 34, MONOCYTES 8.6, NEUTROPHILS 57.4?
Avatar f tn Also, may want to look into your lab reference ranges on the HGB/HCT- I believe the min. is 39 HCT and 12 HGB.
Avatar n tn I am a 46 yr white female who had blood test levels that were slightly low in RBC and HCT. I had the labs repeated again 6 mths later and not only are the RBC and HCT low, now the CA is low. The levels are as follows (RBC 3.71, HCT 34.7 and CA 8.4). Should I be concerned and have my primary care physician refer me to an oncologist?

12182312 tn?1427683956 SSRIs like paroxetine are a type of antidepressant that works by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain, while metoprolol is a beta blocker which works on the heart. What type of metoprolol are you taking. Metoprolol Tartrate or Metoprolol Succinate?

Avatar n tn I have taken Toprol xl 25 mg for about 5 years. My doctor switched me to metoprolol several months ago. When I filled my prescription this time, it was from a different mfg and I think I may be having problems with it as I just don't feel right. Could changing the mfg make a difference? ALSO, my doctor prescribed 50 mg to be cut in half for my prescribed 25 mg dose. Does cutting this tablet in half compromise the time release?
Avatar n tn I have been having some strange symptoms since starting metoprolol as a migraine preventative. My head feels like it weighs a ton, and there is a lot of pressure up there, too. I've also been experiencing blurry vision and some concentration issues. I also take lithium, trazodone and neurontin and a rare xanax.
443862 tn?1237999439 I don't think the metoprolol, a beta blocker which; reduces the force and rate of the contraction of the heart, is causing this. The medicines that you take for hyperthyroidism might cause some exacerbation of the "hard heart beat" symptoms, especially if they are contraindicated with metoprolol, of course. Your doctor should be on top of this and I would let him know about it, especially if it just started, or is getting worse.

Avatar f tn Ok so I've been on Metoprolol 50-100mg a day for about a year for benign tachycardia. It's overall worked good for me. But I've noticed a decline in sexual function, specifically, more difficulty keeping an erection during sex. I'm about to start Cialis, so hopefully that will help regardless, but my cardiologist mentioned that I might try Cardizem. He was suggesting it had fewer sexual side effects.
