Avatar n tn Hi, Are you talking about a malignant nodule in the lung? The exposure from the sun will place you at risk for cancers of the skin. While there are cancers of the skin that would have a tendency to metastasize the lung (melanoma), these would usually have a preliminary finding in the skin.
149675 tn?1416673133 I was on tx. during the katrina nightmare, heat and sun exposure gave me the worst rash and caused a tremendous amount of itching. Stay out of the sun and heat while on tx.
Avatar n tn I have frequent PVC's (often with bigeminy) and I also have lots of reflux problems. I have been getting a lot more PVC's the past couple of weeks. I switched from Toprol XL to generic Metoprolol, and I I don't know if that has had any affect. I have also had increased reflux issues during this time. I am getting more PVC's and bigeminy than normal and am noticing it most when I lean forward, especailly while eating. Does this sound like the PVC's are coming from reflux?
Avatar m tn I am very active outdoors and would hate to have to stay out of the sun. I use sun screens and still I get this condition.
Avatar f tn actually sun is very beneficial to both you and baby, you need around 20 min of exposure to the sun everyday on your arms and legs, a little more if your dark skinned, your body gets its vitamin D from being exposed to the sun, otherwise you risk having vit D deficiency which isnt good, and you end up by having to take suppliments, just be sure that you dont go out in the hottest part of the day and if you do put on sunscreen :)

Avatar m tn It is possible that you have/had sun poisioning. Any antibiotics will add to the harsh exposure of the sun. That is why they tell you to try to avoid the sun if you can or use a high level of sunscreen if you are out in the sun. If you are not feeling better soon, you should see your doctor. Please be careful while in the sun while on these medications. It can cause some major symptoms not to mention the higher risk of sun burn. Hope you feel better soon.
Avatar m tn I have very fair skin and fair hair, whenever I'm out in the sun for a long period of time I seem to get sun poisoning even when I use sun block. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn We are heading to Florida in two days and will be out in the sun alot. I wear sunscreen but am just curious if sun exposure will affect my scar. It seems like I read somewhere on there that it would by making it darker or taking it longer to heal? Please let me know what you guys know about this. I don't want to do anything that will extend the time it takes my scar to heal or something that makes it heal darker. Thanks guys!
Avatar f tn t want to have it exposed to the sun for long periods of time and would want to avoid sun exposure.Scars are particularly sensitive to sunlight and can sunburn faster than healthy skin, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Once a scar becomes sunburned, it can remain discolored or darkened and may not fade back to match the color of your healthy skin. For that reason, you would want to avoid the sun, wear protective clothing, and wear sun screen to protect your scar/skin.
Avatar f tn Last year I believe I developed a sun allergy, after prolonged exposure to the sun I would get itchy red bumps in the evening and the next day they would be gone. As of this year I have been in the sun and have experience nothing. I was wonder if I spent some time in a tanning bed would I break out in the red bumps like the sun exposure? Not that I am interested in tanning I am just curious if it would have the same effect as the sun on my skin? thanks!
Avatar m tn I was given Zoloft 25mg a day for two weeks, then 50mg a day, but was told they interact with Metoprolol and could cause the Metoprolol to build up in my system. Is there anything else I can take? I had to stop taking Xanax (as needed) because of the interaction with Amiodarone. Someone please help, I am losing it here. Thanks.
407053 tn?1201998633 i was pregnant with my first baby in 2005 and they found out that i had Mitral Valve Prolapse and put me on metoprolol.. its a blood pressure medication but it can also be used to treat mvp. my daughter has reacently turned two and my husband and i have been trying for a year to get pregnant with a second child. my first pregnancy was fine and normal other than my heart condition but it did not affect her at all.
620923 tn?1452915648 This sensitivity makes it very easy for scars to get sunburned, which can cause them to turn brown and become more noticeable.. Sun exposure not only discolors scars, but it can also cause the tissue to thicken. Both of these effects make a scar more conspicuous and more difficult to treat in the future.
Avatar f tn The best way to prevent a rash like this is to wear the sunscreen and limit your exposure to the sun. Another thing you can do is try to pinpoint the cause- sometimes medications, exposure to certain chemicals or fragrances, and a few other things can cause this reaction. You should be able to head to a doctor to try to get more leads on the cause and see if you can clear it up that way.
Avatar f tn I just did not think that it was caused by the sun because some of the small moles are on parts of my chest that do not get much sun, but I guess some of the suns rays still penetrate clothing and these area are in most direct exposure to the rays of the sun. Also why do you say to use liberal amounts of sunscreen before age 40? Are they less likely to occur after this age? Thank you again! P.S. I will get my skin evaluated as well, when I can.
Avatar f tn When my face is exposed to the sun I develop a raised rash all over my face which is red and blotchy but also with lots of white spots. The rash only occurs on my face even if the rest of my body is exposed. I wear a factor 50 sunscreen and try to cover my face as much as possible but it generally occurs whenever I am in the sun for a period of time. The rash usually takes up to five days to clear and can be quite sore.
Avatar m tn Moles have mole cells (melanocytes) in them. Freckles just have extra pigment. Sometimes it's hard to tell which is which without doing a biopsy, but if the spot doesn't look suspicious, it doesn't matter--it can be left alone. Sun can increase the number of moles people have, but they may occur where there was no sun to speak of. Freckles can appear soon after sun exposure, not moles.
