How do metoprolol, isosorb, and benazepril together, differ from, norvasc and lanoxin.

Does anyone know the manufacturer for lisinopril, simvastatin and metoprolol? I need help with getting these filled each month.

I take aspirin too in the morning. I've now received Monomax XL 60mg from the doc. He said that the High Blood Pressure medications, ie Cardioplen and Atenolol would help to limit strokes, but not prevent them! Do your wife and yourself, or either, suffer from painful feet and legs with the taking of Simvastatin? That's the reason I stopped taking it. (1 grandchild of 5yrs and need to be a lot younger to keep up!

I have been hospitalized repeatedly since the heart attack and have tried all the usual medications such as verapamil, cardizem, imdur, metoprolol, lisinopril, norvasc and magnesium. I do not tolerate cardizem or imdur well. The angina was not controlled until they started me on Ranexa last year because the pain was constant and severe. no, I'm supposed to take lisinopril and metoprolol. I don't take either one. I stayed on Plavix for 18 months and Simvastatin for 3 years until I tore a muscle. I had a reaction to lisinopril, hives. The metoprolol makes your heart go crazy if you miss a dose and might be the cause of this headache. I take as needed. All that stuff has horrible side effects. Are you a nurse or something?

I am on Lisinopril - 40 mg (Blood Pressure) and Metoprolol - 50 mg (Beta Blocker), Simvastatin - 10 mg (Cholestrol). I am very concerned about this low pulse rate. It was after this that I was put on the simvastatin and metoprolol. I also take aspirin ( full dose ) and flecainide for the afib. Both the metoprolol and flecainide are taken at a low dose. My readings before I started the simvastatin, were ( 140 total ) HDL 33 LDL 79 and Triglycerides 139 . What has changed is that my HDL has gone down to 24 from 33 LDL has gone down to 65. So basically Everything has gone down, what has him worried is the HDL has gone down.

Yes, I fill tired and drained all the time and I can't sleep. I have heard that both beta-blockers and statin drugs will cause Diabetes. I have been pre-diabetic for a long time and am starting to get symptoms of type 2 diabetes. My doctor has been ordering blood tests every 3-6 months to see if I need to go on medication to prevent Diabetes. Been on HBP pills (Betaloc = Metoprolol) for 20 years (also aspirin, bendrofluazide, simvastatin, omeprazole - and now slow K-2). I almost always had trouble sleeping and used Temazepam moderately (1-2 at bedtime). Trouble with sleeping is dramatically increased by physical exercise. I use simvastatin to lower the cholesterol and lisinopril to lower the bp. The lisinopril works w/o the simvastatin and v.v.

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker while lisnopril is an angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitor. Both groups of drugs and simvastatin are unlikely to cause erectile dysfunction. However yes, all three of them can cause swelling of ankles. Talk to your doctor. You can change your medications. Among antihypertensives you need to avoid thiazides , beta blockers and alpha blockers. High blood pressure and reduced blood supply to penis can also cause erectile dysfunction.

I have been on 20 mg of simvastatin and 3000 mg niaspan now my ck levels have went from 60 to 295 i could hardly walk .will my levels come down if i lower dose. and reverse damage. i have 12 stents .the rest of my blood work is fine.

ll want to double the Simvastatin from 40mg/day(?) and what else might he suggest and are there any suggestions from you guys?

My cardiologist told me that patent for Toprol XL (Metoprolol Succinate) is about to expire, or has already do so, and the price will drop dramatically. He also mentioned that the patent on Lipitor is about the expire, and pharmicutical companies are licking their chops for that one. I'm on Simvastatin, and he plans to switch me as soon as the price drops on Lipitor (Atorvastatin Calcium). as he claims it's a much better drug. So, no, you're not alone.

Problem is I think if you can't take one statin you may not be able to take any. But there are other drugs you can try like Niaspan (slow release niacin) and vitorin and so forth.
