The thing that really stinks is losing this means I also lose my health and dental insurance. Scarey. I also have a syrinx in my spinal cord, I finally got into one of the best doctors for this in colorado and now im not sure I will be able to go. ugh. I am writing a very long letter to metife appealing this decision and my regular doctor has agreed to help me fight it. So all I can do now is hope and pray it works. People actually fake having this crap, who in their right mind would do that?

t due to insurance not covering it. So - if you can afford your doctor and your meds no matter what your insurance company says - no problem - but I doubt it. Also - if you can live without working even though your insurance company stops paying your disability? Fine - but I doubt it. So - that's just to clear up the "They can't MAKE me or MAKE the doctor do this or that" No - BUT So - DON'T try hard during the function test - it is in your best interest health wise.

NO, you don't have to tell them unless of course your disability is obvious and you need accomodations up front. If will go the ADA pages, they will provide a more complete answer. I didn't qualify for health insurance due to another medical condition and it did not affect my employment status. My employer knows because of the extended absences needed an explanation.

If drug treatment is covered by your health insurance- can it be denied as a "pre-existing condition" if you were getting treatment and paying out of pocket before you got the insurance??? Anybody know? Someone told my son that because of ADA it cannot be denied. Anybody know?

The job situation is not directly related to the ACA in my opinion. The fragile state of the economy is at least half way responsible. Things are getting better, but they are far from great. More part time jobs says to me that employers are becoming a bit more satisfied or secure with the economy but are not willing to commit to hiring a gaggle of full time employees.

hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..

So my husband switched jobs about 3 months ago and the insurance was dropped yesterday. He hasn't been at work enough for insurance thru his new job...so now I'm here 4 months pregnant....with no insurance......son of a gun!

We haven't had insurance for about 3 years, so my I am very concerned about my husband who was diagnosed about 5 years ago with chronic hep b. He was supposed to be followed up with, I believe annually, with the specialist. He went 2 times and his liver enzymes, back then, came out unchanged, but that was about 2 1/2 years ago. Right now, as a contractor, he is in-between jobs and we don't qualify for state help (or self insurance as he has a preexisting condition).

Two of my front teeth just BROKE OFF today now!! I am absolutely horrified, it looks TERRIBLE as you might imagine and I have NO insurance at all. How am I gonna get this fixed?? These proofreading jobs are slowwww as all get out and certainly dont pay enough anyhow to finance the dental work I need (collectively I need 10 Grand to get all my teeth fixed- no BS that is the estimate I have printed out here and thats with their "discount special offer"!!!

I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?

i dont think stress or anxiety would add to dental problems. the only thing my dental anxiety did for my dental health was make me aviod regular check ups which lead to bigger problems which i get treated...yes im one of those people who go to the dds only wheni have pain!!! so did my anxiety make my teeth more unhealthy yes only because i didnt get regual cleanings and filings ect... i however do have valid medical problems which add to dental issues...I have R.A and sojourns disease...

Does anybody else have stressful jobs? I feel like everyday it gets harder and harder to go back. I just started like 3 months ago. I only get 6 weeks unpaid time off. Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.

Hi all! I am a little over 6 months pregnant and changing jobs (and therefore insurance). In any case, I have two selections available for me upon my hire: a PPO and an HMO. I am so far a healthy 43 year old/m in pa. I am trying to decide which health insurance plan will be good for my situation and I am looking for some opinions here. This Month my group plan ends and I can take cobra but there is no financial benefit to taking my same PPO plan which gives me to price break for being unemployed. So I am trying to look at this at a meaningful way. Since my PPO was $475/m plue $29 dental I just cant be paying that on my own now.
