At that time he just simply got feed up waiting so long. He has been taking 6-10mg of klonopin daily and dropping his methadone every 5 days. He is at 20mg of methadone right now. I have never taking either one. I meet and married him in the last 5 yrs(when he was already on the methadone program).
My problem,question is now I feel he is acting high...really high. He cant keep his eyes open but at the same time is running around trying to conquer the world it seems like.
The pain level was still so intense I was put on a cheaper drug...methadone...I have been taking my methadone with my klonopin for approx 7 years and I never had any problems combining the two, but do be aware that they are both nervous system depressants and can interfere with breathing even though I've never had any issues personally. My doctors are aware of all my meds.
is ur doctor aware of everything u r taking? benzos are not usually prescribed to someone on methadone...
Thank you for your reply! I know this time is different. I was on methadone 3 times before and every time i was taking either Triazolam or Ambient. With Klonopin can't take anything and even Methadone was dangerous. Does Melatonin helps? I was researching about but of course mixing anything with benzo is not a good idea. I took 25 days off work, have rough road ahead. .
I was able to get my hands on several Elavil, its an anti depressent that works wonders for sleep, I would take only one Elavil at night along with a few benadryl. I also took my prescription for Klonopin which helped a lot, and some nuerontin.
As for the natural things, I had the luxury of having an infared sauna which really helped, I also went and got some Valerian Root for relaxation and Epsom salt with hot baths.

A friend of mine has gone to the hospital multiple times from the same combo, with 90mg of methadone and 3mg of klonopin. I saw him take his klonopin and fall asleep standing up, then fall to the floor. I had blackouts from benzo methadone mix, though I was taking more methadone. It shouldn't be legal to prescribe those drugs together, the school of medicine considers it dangerous. So how did you end up on methadone and konopine and how long have you been on your current dose?
I'm using klonopin to help me sleep while coming off methadone and narco. In the past when I've taken it, it doesn't do much for me. I'm not an anxious person. I'm worried I will have more withdrawals from that if I ever make it through what I'm going through now. How much can a person take? And how can anyone go back and start this cycle over after going through pure hell. Rat's learn, why can't we. I know the answer to the last question, I think.

THE METHADONE MAINTENANCE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED THE KLONOPIN AND SAID I COULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 3 MG PER DAY.MY QUESTION IS, IS IT SAFE TO ADD CELEXA TO MY MEDICATIONS (40) MG CELEXA 1 TIME A DAY? I ASK THE CLINIC, PHARMACIST AND PCP AND ALL 3 SAID I SHOULD DO OK BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR MORE LIKE:DEFENATELY I CAN TAKE THESE 3 MEDS TOGETHER. ANYONE CAN TELL ME IF THIS IS DEFINATELY OK??
I finally switched to another doctor. The problem is no doctor WITH ETHICS will prescribe Suboxone along with Klonopin and Ambien. I had to convince this new doctor that I want to get off the Suboxone, but my anxiety is so severe. He told me I have been over prescribed and "I could lose my license if I prescribe that amount of Klonopin (1.5 mg 3 times per day). So, he gave me a script for 1 mg twice a day.
and if so rehab ant a bad idea you have so much going on pulling you in so many different directions ....I have experience with methadone and your dose is low but you have been on it a wile so if you want to get off we can explain how to do that...I also have experience with benzo's and you do need to do that under a dr supervision they have to be tapered slowly or you risk seizures...as for the weed it may not cary a physical dependency but it will hook you physiologically...
30am. I have read how much messing with opiates with benzodiazepines is dangerous. I am not experiencing any difficulty breathing, and no sleepyness that is not normal. Was this a safe thing to do?
I am not sure that in this day as of this time that suboxone is in the category with methadone...which was intended for long term maintenance with most having little intention of getting off the drug in their lifetime unless they were kicked off for abusing...but i have seen sevral strong troppers detox off meth on this forum...tired but so ready...I am not sure suboxone is in the same category as methadone as a maintenence drug and is still regarded as a detox drug...
I don't know the mg of Klonopin you are on, but using it along with Methadone CAN be life threatening if your dose is high enough. Benzo w/d can be very dangerous, causing seizures. w/d from Methadone is VERY hard as it goes into your Bone Marrow and is in your body for a very long time. w/d from Methadone at 300mg is going to be EXTREMELY painful and you will get VERY sick from it.
Overdose on benzodiazepines is actually quite rare provided they are not mixed with other CNS depressants (I met a girl in the ER one day who had eaten 40 Rivotril 2 mg tabs (Klonopin in the US - thats 80mg of clonaz, a butt load of clonaz) and they just monitored her until they wore off). With that in mind, there are some risks, yes, so maybe if you take clonaz, first do so with someone around to see how you tolerate the medication; not everyone is going to have a Dr.
Is there a normal somewhere other than with drugs? I want to feel normal again, but for me to feel normal I need a 5mg methadone and 4 narcos. I do not want to do rehab or 12 step because I have been doing really well and am a well respected, sought after, teacher. Except for walking weird and being slow getting up and down, I function normally on a day to day basis, until I come home and collapse on my bed and only talk to my two teenage sons from a lying down position.
