Does anyone know if there are any treatment facilities available for EBV? or any kind of specialist? My doctor has kind of dismissed me.... not that shrugging his shoulders at my questions were much help to me anyway.

And never again did i try methadone after that. I had 2 friends die in jail from methadone withdrawls. The goverment knows the long term side effects of methadone. That's why they make u sign this paper that says u can't sue the clinics.

Hello everyone! Let me start by giving some background. I was addicted to heroin... using quite a lot daily for almost 5 years. Well I found out I was pregnant and got into rehab right away. I went in to a place that was supposed to give me suboxone or subutex. Well when I talked to that facilities doctor they said "we can't handle your situation here, with you being pregnant and using such high amounts we need to send you to another treatment center".

I visited some recovery facilities in Texas and Oklahoma and found lots of confusion and conflict. Detox facilities said that they were using the durg for opiate addiction detox. "Licensed" doctors said that they required a "contract" with the paitient to control the use of the drug. One doctor said he will no longer prescribe suboxone due to paiient abuse. Patients say that the drug is "too expensive" so they switch to other opiates like Loritabs or Oxy.

I need some honest opinions please............ I recently started a methadone treatment program. I am doing the 6 month program. This is my 3rd day of treatment. I am starting at one dose of 30mg of methadone. Is this a good number to start with??? TOO HIGH of a number?? PRETTY LOW of a number??? I have hears many horror storeis of people and methadone, about trading one drug for another and all that.

FOR SIX WEEKS WHERE THEY DETOXED ME OFF OF 7-8 OPANA FOURTY'S A DAY TAKEN UP THE NOSE WITH SUBOXONE AND I HAD ALMOST ZERO WITHDRAWL SYMPTOMS.

I'm the type of person that reads everything. I know this clinic very well and benzos are allowed as long as they are legally prescribed. The doctor told me it would be no problem as long as I had a prescription however the counselor was the issue. She went back to the first drug test after I received my legal prescription and used that to get me kicked out.

I scored some methadone to get clean years ago. I have been ended up on methadone for so long, it was the worst thing I have ever lived through. I won't say that methadone never helps people, but if you can't control Oxys, good chance methadone will be not different. I spun out of control with street methadone. It is the opiate that came the closest to killing me. Under a doctors care is one thing, but doing it on your own is a dangerous game, I've been there.

Let's start by saying that I suffer from a Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ongoing Depression. The severity of the depression comes in "phases" (for lack of a better word) in that it'll be subdued for 9-12 months and then all of a sudden I feel like I'm heading back into the abyss. I have read a lot about Suboxone Treatment but I haven't found much on Methadone Treatment. I would really appreciate any advice!!! I can't even talk to my husband about this subject. He always tells me that I should just stop taking narcotics because he never would take them!

I was put on methadone 14 years ago for chronic pain. 4 years ago I was taken off of it cold turkey. In desperation a got into a methadone clinic. I'm finding that the liquid methadone doesn't seem to work on pain as the pills did. Is this In my head or is there really a difference. Sometimes people are severely underweight are pushed to go to treatment because they or someone who loves them are seriously concerned about their health. I'm guessing treatment facilities have changed in the past 25 years LOL, but I don't think the program/process has though. In long term treatment "30 days or more" is to get the person off using any drugs " crutch" within 7 to 14 days. I'm wondering how 30mg of methadone is more beneficial then 30mg of hydrocodone???
