It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.

When i met him(1990) he had already started to slow down(just weekends). I really need to know what are the most common side effects that everyone goes threw. Please i am scared. I wish i had never been offered Methadone. I never noticed any side effects up untill about 2yrs ago. I have every known side effect,but the worst one of all at the moment is excessive sweating. My quality of life is zero. I sweat from head to toe most days all day. I sit with ice ,cold can's of juice sitting on my cheek's,my breasts and my wrists. Ive put on 4st in weight,and i know this wont be helping the situation. I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi all I've been absent for quite a while due to my mom being dx with metestatic lung cancer and needing to care for her. I also lost my dear doctor of over 30 years this past fall. I now see a doctor in the same group but he does all palliative care. He just wants to talk about pain meds. I want to keep trying to find answers and help for my diseases! Anyway - hes been pushing methadone saying I need to switch to it to get better pain relief.

ve wanted to get off the methadone because I believe its side effects are making my quality of life worse. I get terrible hot flashes which are primarily caused by my cancer treatment but I believe are worse because of the methadone. I sweat terribly, have trouble sleeping, am incredibly intolerant to heat and get short of breath sometimes when I exercise. I know the methadone is making all these things worse if not causing some of them. I wonder about the Ultram though.

I had a dosage of 125 mCi, 10 days ago, and a thyroidectomy due to papillary thyroid cancer with tall cells. I was also diagnosed with Breast cancer 3 years ago, and had a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery and I'm doing fine from that but this thyroid cancer has really thrown me because of the Hashimoto's and the depressed hypo state I'm in I'm finder this cancer harder to cope with. Are there any known side effects for Shen Calmer and Liver Happy Capsules? My dog has been taking them for about a week now. He is taking them for anxiety, no signs of relief yet, but no prescriptions have helped him so this is our last resort. if methadone has no long term side effects then why about a week after i came off methadone did i urinate blood every time i passed urine for about 24 to36 hours then things cleared up

I recently had a cyst removed about the size of a grape from my left ovary, however when we went into surgery my dr found one the size of my uterus behind my uterus attached to my right ovary. As a result due to shape n size n history my dr removed my rt ovary. I cannot go on birth control since I've had breast cancer 2 yrs before. I'm currently 37. & feel the effects of hot flashes.
