t have to do anything before my surgery. I am on 60 mgs of methadone daily. I also took narcotics as well as my methadone after surgery. The only difference is I don't have sleep apenia so id ask dr if its ok to take pain meds having that but if your on methadone than it should be ok.

I take 95mg of methadone a day. I take 8 mg klonipins a day. I also take 1mg xanax as needed. Am I in any danger?

I hope they're keeping her in the hospital because Methadone overdose is tricky because of it's long half-life. They can bring you back in the ER - you walk out and you can go under again. So, if they have the tox. #'s - that's good - they can gauge where's she's at.

I think they still qual to give it. I would have wanted a doctors order but with overdose you only have a small window to save pt.. That is probally what they were thinking he was ODing on Methadone..

Methadone and methadose are the same medication. Methadose (40 mg and above) comes in wafers/tablets that can be broken in halves or quarters to reach the required dosage and can be dissolved in water before taking if needed. Methadone tablets/liquid are taken whole.

What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?

I used methadone to get off norco Im so surprised anyone takes that to get high BUT for what i used it for it worked great for me, I think ur starting out on way too high of a dose and risking addiction at those levels. My highest methadone dose was 15 mg a day and went down .5 a week.

Hi all. One of my best friends has been taking heavy painkillers to manage pain due to disk surgery and partial replacement. Hi and welcome! Before you start the Methadone, I would highly recommend reading some of the posts on here of people detoxing from Methadone. It is a very long, drawn out, rough detox and is much worse than shorter acting opiates. If you are going to go the Methadone route, you should do it through a clinic. Methadone doesn't work like other opiates. It builds up in your body tissues and levels can be unpredictable. It's easy to overdose on. (Sorry if you already know all of this.

Methadone is no joke either. The withdrawals from methadone can last a month. And they can be brutal. At 19 years of age you may get a break ..... you dont have the historical use that many do. thought many might be interested in reading what the government has discovered about the growing use of methadone and the fact that there is a huge escalation in related deaths. Its a typical GAO(government accountability office) study, ah... like huge. but WOW ,chuck full of info and facts. I never knew it caused so many deaths, and that even the Govt made this study early this year.

t get a vitamin overdose from eating cereal with your vitamins. I like carnation instant breakfast and its vitamin levels are much higher than cereal levels and I've never suffered any ill effects. If you're very concerned you can switch to taking your multi vitamins at night so that the vitamins in the cereal will have already been absorbed or passed through your system by then.
