t know anything about that, but you can look at your Incivek prescribing information, and it will tell you the effect of Incivek on Methadone. It may be that your maintenance dose may need to be adjusted slightly to accommodate for that effect.
He went on methadone maintenance in July and it has taken him to his worst depths. He is still shooting drugs, is addicted to XANAX and anxiety pills. Hello, I am looking for someone who is or has been in a methadone maintenance program while pregnant. I've clean and sober for awhile now but I'm still on methadone and now that I'm pregnant I can't get off of it. Just looking for some positive or useful knowledge. Thanks!
I used subs to get me off of methadone, so my opinion is biased, but I would use subs over methadone. I did a 20 day fast sub taper to avoid acute methadone withdrawal. Subs didn't get me high the way methadone did. Subs also prevent abuse, as they have a ceiling dose, meaning if you take more than 32 mg they don't have a stronger effect. The down side of long term sub use is the extra long half life.
Instead of jail she went into treatment. She still is on a very high dose of methadone, the last time I asked she was at 60mg. There are so many more issues with her treatment I have questions about. How long is methadone maintenance? It appears to me she has replaced her old habit with a legal habit.. I really worry about her.
Hi well for me I use to node out at the most inaprperet times I was on 150mg though......I would lower your dose... many of us have come off of methadone and it is a tuff detox but methadone maintenance ***** the life out of you ...your best bet is to come off it all together and we can help you with that............
170 mgs is alot of methadone...I was on methadone for 8 years and my highest prescribed dose was 90mgs, and I never took that much. So to me, that much methadone with ANY amount of benzo seems a little dangerous?? If you are interested in getting off all the meds, I would suggest getting off the methadone first, as the benzo may aid you in your withdrawal from that, THEN I would TAPER off the benzo.

The jail that I was at actually offered Methadone Maintenance, thank God. The kind Judge told me that my DTC counselor thought it necessary for me to start Methadone, and get to a "stable" dose before I was able to get out and go to rehab. A stable dose in jail is 30mg. They start you at 10mg, and by the time they start you, your symptoms are finally starting to waver.
for pain patients they start at a high dose to kill the pain, maintenance starts low and gradually increases untill you feel stable with no cravings or withdrawls sympyoms.
My question is whether switching to methadone would perhaps help my drug cravings and depression better than suboxone?I am willing to be on a maintenance dose for life if that is what it takes for me to live a normal life free of depression and drug obsession.
Eventually, after an overdose and 3 day hospital stay, I ended up at a Methadone clinic and was started on a maintenance program. Because my use of opiates had been SOOOO high, my maintenance dose of methadone ended up being very high too. On MM since May 2007, at 180mg for the past two years, dispensed daily at a pharmacy, with one takeaway at weekends and up to three if I'm going away some place. If I go away for longer I see a doctor at my destination who liases with my clinic doctor.
You will be drug sick and you will do what ever it takes to not be. You should get into a methadone maintenance clinic asap. one dose of methadone is effective for both pain and withdrawl for 24-36 hours. You do not develope tolerance as with all other opiates. It allows you to have a life. I began methadone maintenance some years ago after a car accident neck surgery, nerve damage,etc.
