They even tested her and found no methadone in her urine. I regret that I subjected her to anything at all but she was born 2 wks early and weighed 8 1/2 lbs. If you can taper off the opioids, do so-- slowly, at a rate that you work out with your doc. If you cannot do that, seek the help of an addiction doc.
I finally at 18 weeks went to a doctor and told them of my problem, i was then put on methadone, and have been on methadone ever since. There are over 20 pregnant women in the program, methadone is much safer to be on in your situation then ANYTHING ELSE! they know what to do with the baby and know exactly how to help the baby. there has been NO KNOWN NEGATIVE affects to the child, besides withdrawal symptoms. I used until i was 18 weeks....
So, I have a bassinet in my room and and I plan on having my baby sleep in there in our room for the first while. My question is in the nighttime when the babys diaper needs changing did most mommies have these necessities to change them in your room or would you walk and change them on the change table in their room during the night.....??

Hey ladies! So this is my first pregnacy and im in need of some tips.. But he needs to be either swaddled or wrapped in his favorite blanket. We also need to hold him until be falls asleep or he will scream bloody murder until we pick him up. What I do to calm my little one is I lay down on the couch and put him on top of me with his head on my chest, and rub his back.He's out within minutes. I'll leave him there for about half an hour just to make sure he's actually sleeping then I'll move him to his bassinet.
I am also still on methadone and I am just as active as ever, I go out, I have sex like a normal person, and Methadone has done nothing but help me as well as others I know well in their lives. everyone tries to blame methadone for all their damn problems. Shes probably depressed, probably has post partum depression, that's what it sounds like for sure. She and you are both using that as the big excuse for whats really going on.

I had been on suboxone for a year and got pregnant my doctor lowered my dose but did not switch to subutex wich does not contain the naloxone that the suboxone has in it I have read that it can be dangerous and was wondering if any one could tell me anything about it
