I agree, methadone alone is killing ten people a month here in Michigan. My mom died from a combo like yours. Definately call a pharmacist or go to drugs.com-pill interaction search it's very detailed. Please be careful, and when the doctor says you need to get blood work done in two days, DO IT! It will save your life. It would have saved my Mom. Sorry, not being bossy I just want people to know how a pill can change your life forever! Good Luck!!!

Welcome to the forum..I was in a methadone clinic here in Michigan...we were allowed to take pretty much anything if we had a rx for it..That is unfortunate that they don;t allow that..i am sorry..does your friend that gave you the "sample" take methadone? they tested for it at the clinic i was at to make sure it was in fact in your system..you need to really makes sure it is the right temp...I understand how bad it sux to not have take homes..Do you get a week?

I need to find a good doc in Michigan to look at adrenal function. I've been to cardiologist--heart is good, but my BP is going bonkers, and based on other things going on and all clear testing cardiac data, he agrees I need endocrinologist. I'm in metro Detroit area. I saw one 1-1/2 years ago when I suspected something was up, and she only checked my morning cortisol spit test, which is basically worthless without three more in the day, and only a basic thyroid panel.

I am looking for an endocrinologist in Michigan that will prescribe T3 of any kind. I know this is a long shot but I will put this out there anyways. My PCP has prescribed it to me but knows nothing about it and I would like to be followed by someone who does.

I was an alcoholic. Got great help at a forever recovery in battle creek Michigan. I tried one other facility before that and it was no help. Make sure prior to admitting yourself into a facility that you and others with a clear mind look into every facility, insurance accepted, what kind of therapy they provide, etc. A forever recover worked for me. I have been clean 5 plus months. Not easy, but more than worth it. Talk to others. A forever recovery uses cognitive therapy I believe.

From what I understand she is heading up a chiari clinic at Beaumont Neuroscience in Royal Oak, Michigan. Although I contacted her office at Michigan Head and Spine Institute in Southfield, MI. I did search her name on this site and some members have had surgery with her. Maybe another name to add to the list??

I have some info in my journal written by a dr. about methadone w/d..he was also an addict for 18 yrs..there might be some helpful things you can do. Try not to panic too much because that is going to make it worse. it almost sounds like your describing an anxiety attack ,because that is what happens..let us know how your doing..

Methadone works in the reverse when your comming off it. When you take methadone ,it stays in your system 36 hrs and even llonger in some. your body only metabloizes 80% of it which leaves you with a surplus of 20%, then you take your next dose and the same thing happens and so on every day until you reach a plateau.(this is how my dr explained it) Anyway as you take away methadone it does the same thing but in reverse. You can take away that first 2.

I am in Western Michigan and there is really nothing here. I do have University of Michigan in Ann Arbor or Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Does anyone have any suggestions in Michigan or should I go to Mayo? I read that someone in Michigan went to someone in Grand Rapids and the doctor required the patient to commit to treatment with him before he would do a liver biospy....thats not acceptable to me...what if you do not like this doctor or the staff?
