methadone drug test

I am addicted to hydrocodone, i will be given a drug test to check for opiates and i was wondering how long will it take to get this painkiller out of my system, and what can i do to make it happen faster. also i want to know what the easier way to get off them is?

Susie ,when you give a urine-test as required for all methadone patients the Dr. will definitely inquire as to the reason your using methadone and benzodiazepines as the people before said,people can overdose and die of respiratory failure as the two act in a sinergistic manner. Be careful!!!

I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. I AM ON METHADONE FOR BACK PAIN AND WENT IN FOR A DRUG TEST AND IT DID NOT SHOW UP IN THE OPIATE CATAGORY; AND EVEN MY DR THAT PRESCRIBED IT DID NOT KNOW THIS. I'm pretty sure methadone would deff show up in drug test. It's a strong long lasting drug.

depends on how many and how long you've been taking it.......lots of water exercise, metabolism are all factors........stays in the system for a few days......a good week and you should be fine......I hope. When is your test and how many and how long? Nauty............

I recently was changed from hydrocodone to methadone and by the second day i started to develop a body rash, a really fine very itchy rash, starting on the trunk of my body and has now moved to include my hips and legs. I had taken methadone before and never had any reactions. I don't seem to find much on the net about meth and rashes, so I am wondering if the level of hydro is still up there enough to possibly be the mix causing this rash.

Hi every one i went to a mental doctor yesterday, he put me on prozack , i couldnt take that while i was on methadone, it was not to be used with methadone, for anyone thats still on methadone please, look up drug interactions when takeing methadone google med. interactions, there is alot of meds you cant take with methadone including some blood pressure meds.

At least its not heroin but you should have tapered and then he runs a secret drug test on me. Am I just being oversensitive or is this inappropriate behavior from a doctor? I don't want to have to reestablish care with a new ob because I'm so far along but I feel uncomfortable in the office.

Hi everyone I have not around for a few weeks I have not been feeling to well. I am here for some ideas and advice. I went to the suboxone doctor on Monday and I tested positive for benzo's. I was stunned when the test came back positive. I have not taken anything that is any form of a benzo and the doctor says that not any of the medicines I am on could cause a positive test.

THanks for the info, It doesnt show up on a 5 panel that includes testing for opiates, it has to be specially tested for and on the 10 panel they test for methadone and am worried that sub and methadone my show up the same on a test.

Does anyone know why a saliva drug test would come up positive for amphetamines?? I am on methadone maintenance program and get tested monthly. I honestly have never done amphetamines. Only thing I have done is smoke a little weed. I have checked all websites for possibilities as to why this could occur and I have not taken any of the meds that can cause a false.
