The sequence of events was an initial cataract surgery performed three years ago four hours north of Santa Rosa, followed by two retinal detachments. As far as conversion from liquid to pills you should be able to find some sort of conversion chart on line or you could try calling a methadone clinic or Dr. and ask..even if you need to call to a different state. Is there an alternative to going to the methadone clinic. I have a very dear friend that goes there and he is having some problems. For one he isn't sleeping and as of today he might lose his job. He fell asleep on lunch break and slept over by 13 minutes so they sent him home. If he loses his job he no longer can afford to go to the clinic, and that would mean he would have a greater chance of relapsing. I have been on methadone for 8 months to help with my cronic back pain. My docotr now says he doesn't twant to manage long term pain medication for cronic pain and i will have to find a new clinic. I want rto find onwe in my area where I'm not treated like a criminal for being in pain.

You all truly helped, pushed, and supported me to get this far. I know I have a long road to go, but for today I am great. My methadone clinic staff is awesome and full of support. I do not feel that they are trying to keep me there longer than I want or need to be there. My goal is to be totally sober by the end of July. That gives me PLENTY of time to taper down slowly. I am also looking into after care. I want to start going tro some NA meetings.

Ok I have a plan to jump at 5 mgs on Monday I take methadone at a clinic here in the US My plan was to pay daily I used to pay for 2 weeks at a time. So this morning my number was on the stop dose list (Friday is payday) I try to give the nurse money for one day and was told They have me ona schedule (thier schedule) to take me down to very small doses. They would not dose me u till I came up with a payment for 7 days. I think that is not rite.

Both of these treatments are harm reduction or replacement therapy. I think methadone is better for longer periods of time and sub may be better for short detox but a lot of people would argue with me. I don't like sub for maintenece and it can be problamtic if someone has an emergency. Also it's not as good of a painkiller as methadone and doesn't satisfy a hard core addict as well as methadone. I feel that both drugs are overused and very addictive.

Welcome to the forum..I was in a methadone clinic here in Michigan...we were allowed to take pretty much anything if we had a rx for it..That is unfortunate that they don;t allow that..i am sorry..does your friend that gave you the "sample" take methadone? they tested for it at the clinic i was at to make sure it was in fact in your system..you need to really makes sure it is the right temp...I understand how bad it sux to not have take homes..Do you get a week?

d have to go through methadone withdrawals. I had been having heroin cravings, which is why I went back to the methadone clinic about a month ago. With ablations you need to be patient because it can take a couple of months for everything to settle down...i am just north of you up in Santa Rosa and my doc was from Marin County.
