I have several chronic pain conditions and have been on heavy duty pain meds for years. I have been weaning off as fast as I can as I was planning on getting pregnant next year sometime. However... life throws you surprises and well here I am. I am on methadone and morphine. I'm down to only 5-10mg of methadone and 15-30mg of morphine daily. I am still having pain and need some amount to make life tolerable. However I know it's horrible for baby! Any tips?
I take Methadone 80mg a day once in the morning, and have been prescribed to psychiatric medication for a long period of time. These consist of Abilify and at one time Zoloft I kept on having very strong panic attacks followed immediately by loss of breath like asthma but to the point of hyperventilating . This concerned me I discontinued Zoloft and kept taking abilify but still experience the same problem what do I do help!!!
How old is your son? I took zoloft 100 miligrams,vailum 10 miligrams and 20 miligrams of methadone a day for 4 months. I don't know that he would even notice if he stopped the xanax .How long has he been on all of these?
i can totally empathize. i am taking methadone and tried many different antidepressants, until finally staying with zoloft. i gained almost 40 lbs since 2011 after becoming sober. i was bound to an opiate addiction for almost 10 yrs due to chronic pain and am now 2 and a half yrs sober. i had a hypothyroidism problem as well, and was prescribed medicine to help with metabolism. to give you an update as to where i am today... i am still taking methadone for chronic pain.
m sure some of you know what some of those weeks were like. So 3 months ago I saw my family doc. He has me on 30mg methadone and zoloft. Our plan is start slow taper in a couple months.
So a couple questions....... Is the taper going to be anything like the living hell that cold turkey is? I know what that's like and wouldn't wish that on anyone.

He also has severe anxiety and cannot go out of the house, except to the methadone clinic. The doctors will not give him any kind of anxiety meds. He is on Zoloft for depression. But it is not helping. He needs klonopin or Valium or something for his panic attacks. He has crying spells, too. He is a mess. He has no life and no friends. Please help.
t be at my clinic til next Monday or Wednesday so I jut started the Zoloft and my blood pressure has went down and the chest pain and the way my head was feeling like it was gonna burst has stopped ad te past two nights it haven't kicked almost atall BUT the bad dreams or nightmares whatever you call it is still really bad all night but the pain that's gone and the kicking not as bad is a huge relief for me and my husband ✌️Fingers crossed that it stays this way I also still toss and tur
I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?
I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both). When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned. I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so. Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been? I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.
You have to take the control back...stop reading, stop searching about SSRIs and Zoloft and brain damage. The one Zoloft pill did NOT cause any damage. In my humble opinion, you are dealing with severe anxiety, and you need to formulate a treatment plan. As of right now, I doubt you could tolerate another med, as you are still connecting everything to the Zoloft. Therefore, you will likely have another anxiety-induced reaction to another med.
I have been on Zoloft 50 mg and Clonazepan 0.5mg for years and never had a problem. About 3 months ago I decided to decrease my dose of Zoloft to 25mg as I was feeling wonderful and my husband likes to have a couple of drinks and was on my case about having a drink or two with him. So I decided to decrease my meds. I completely stopped taking the Zoloft - cold turkey. And decreased my clonazepan by 1/2.
He then prescribed Zoloft (50mg) once a day along with the 2 doses(1mg)ea of Lorazepam untill the Zoloft takes effect. The problem is I still feel like crap just about all day. Dizzy, sour stomach, a lttle shaky, weak feeling. I've been on the Zoloft for about a week now. It's hard, but, should I give the Zoloft time to work? Could I try using less or more Lorazepam? I really want to get off the Lorazepam. My doctor blames it on my upcoming retirement.
it was just a coincidence. I started Zoloft 50mg and the tinnitus subsided. At zoloft 100mg, it subsided even more, almost disappearing. I went off Zoloft completely again and the tinnitus returned with all its fury. I started again and the tinnitus once again subsided. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'll keep taking Zoloft for tinnitus, even though I feel no need for an anti-depressant.
I have been taking Zoloft for 8 years for anxiety, stemming from menopause. I've been having discomfort in my upper right quadrant under my ribs for about 6 years. My doctor diagnosed IBS and I've been taking donnatal, which helps. I've recently decided to taper off of the Zoloft and have noticed that my discomfort has diminished. Could it have been associated with taking the Zoloft?
The doc put me on Zoloft a week ago for my IBS, depression and anxiety and as of today (6 days into it) i've started to become very anxious and jittery. I was just wondering if this is normal or anyone else has experienced this? I'm 20 years old and am used to being very happy and carefree before I got the IBS which induced the depression and anxiety which is a vicious cycle.
