s. I take 12.5mg of methadone and 1mg of klonopin daily, and I have no problems at all. Any increase in the klonopin my doctor bumps me up .5mg at a time. If you just up and took 8mg of klonopin your first day, whether you take methadone or not, the outcome may be fatal. He is still shooting drugs, is addicted to XANAX and anxiety pills. He will take a whole bottle at a time and is also drinking regularly. He has been hospitalized twice in the last month, picked up by police multiple times and has been near death at times. He is completely out of his mind. Alprazolam (Xanax) and methadone are highly addictive narcotics, both physically and psychologically. These two drugs should never be 'mixed' or even taken relatively close to one another unless the reaction is literally being monitired by a doctor and/or medical staff. I am an addict and I know from experience how dangerous this combination can be, trust me; you're playing with fire.

OK just as i thought, the toxicology showed that it was not a suicide, but rather a deadly mix of xanax and methadone (both in small doses) that took my brother's life. He had been so optimistic in his letters to his girlfriend the last 6 months, that the thought that he took his own life never made sense. Now we know for sure that he didn't. The Doc said that the drug n alcohol abuse weakened him, and that the small doses on the final night were enough to slow his respiration.

I got desperate on night, just lost my mind from 2 days straight with horrible pain and no sleep. On a 1-10 scale? 12! So, I took 60 mg of oxycodone and 40 mg of methadone, plus 1 mg of Ativan - all at once, instead of breaking doses up over the day. I slept great for the first time since the wreck - March 25, 2015! I have been on Benzos (Xanax, klonopin, Valium) and Methadone for 9 years now and no adverse side effects! The doctors urge people to keep them apart because you can overdose if not careful. But, you can overdose on almost anything with Methadon and I have a bottle of tramadole here with 500 in it and it's just trash cause I know it can put you into withdrawals!

i been on xanax and methadone 5 yrs everyday..am copd and sevre sleep apnea..im on low dose of both..and i never had a problem..even went to the er 5 times from the anxtys of taking it..they said as long as i been on these..its ok...so what can a person do..if your taking methadone and you hooked on both meds hmmm you have to take them..so its dam if you do and DAM if you dont... word fro the wise benzos are a cns med that enhances methadone or any narcotic..it may reduce the breathing..
