metformin recall 2010

I felt this is important to be aware of. I don't recall seeing much in the news about it.

I heard on the morning news that there will be a world wide recall of Toyota Prius 2010 models. Im wondering how much money they have? Cause they are gonna lose tons of it. And it will be interesting to see what happens to their good name on the other end of this. Do you have one? In light of what has happened would you buy another, or for first time buyers is this enuff to turn you away from Toyota altogether.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in August of 2010 and was put on Metformin, one pill a day to help regulate my menstrual. I have been very active and lost 100 lbs before being diagnosed, and so exercise and eating healthy are not a new thing to me. I exercise 6 days a week, and since being on Meformin. The medication is working with one problem, but I'm not sure why it isn't helping in the other area of weight. I heard that people loose weight with Metformin! So I'm stuck as what to do??

Another recall is Summer Infant Baby Monitors. Two infants died when the cord got wrapped around their necks. However I believe the parents should not have put the monitors so close to their baby's bed that they could strangle themselves. The monitors are being recalled to improve the safety label on the product; there is no product default. Please use common sense when using products that have cords. My heart is just broken for those dead infants.

i have been diagnosed with pcos and i am currently taking metformin. i have yet to have a cycle and i was wondering how long does it take before my menstrual cycle start regulating.

Two weeks i began taking Metformin to help regulate insulin levels due to my PCOS. I have been slowly increasing dosage and am up to 250mg per day. I am currently 9DPO and the past four days i have been feeling dizzy, have had a headache that won't go away, i'm constipated, have increase appitite, feeling really cold and feeling exhausted and yesterday i actually passed out in the shower. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what's going on with me?

My husband and I have been ttc for over a year, but in 2010 I got my left tube removed because of a softball size cyst. I am now on metformin and take B12 vitamins, are my chance nil on getting pregnant? I don't have periods unless I take provera for ten days...

Do you know if you are ovulating? Its good your cycles seem regular for you. If your not ovulating you may need to take Metformin and Clomid or Fermera. I haven't read too much about just conceiving on metformin (unless your ovulating correctly).

I to have PCOS, and started Metformin in May 2010. I started with 1000 mg daily, to 1500mg daily. I am TTC, but nothing yet. I know that Metformin isn't suppose to bring on your AF (Provera is suppose to do that), but I have heard wonderful and horriable things about Metformin. As for me, I have lost 50 + lbs. For a while (5 months) I was in th gym 4-5 times a week, but I started school and somewhat got lazy with going to the gym. Metformin has helped with my weight loss.

hello, I had this happen when I first started Metformin 1000mg daily in May 2010. I was told by my RE that as long as I bleed a little that is a good thng, its your bodies way of cleaning itself out. Have you spoken with your GYN? I was recommend you just talking to your GYN, since they know your medical history, and they would be able to determin if the bleeding you are having is ok or not. I have seen on here that some of you have taken metformin and gotten pregnant after some time of being on it. Here is my question for you.. Did you get periods before you were diagnosed with PCOS? or did you just get periods when on birth control? I am asking bc I have PCOS and got pregnant with my first child through IVF. I would like to try to get pregnant again on my own and have been on metformin for almost a year.

I currently on metformin 1500 a day and Im waiting for my next AF which is due today (6/11/2010) in order to start Clomid 100mg. How many ladies have had success with Clomid 1st round?
