R-Cinex 600mg (Rifampicin 600mg and Isoniazid 300mg) on empty stomach (a glass of milk 30-45min thereafter), Glumet-500mg (Metformin Hydrochloride) 15-20min before breakfast, Oxetol (Oxcarbazepine) 225 mg (anti-seizure/blood thinner?) after breakfast (Valparin was discontinued and replaced with Oxetol after first seizure episode); Ecosporin 150mg and B-Complex tablets post lunch and Glumet-500mg before dinner followed by Oxetol and Combutol 1000mg (Ethambutol Hydrochloride) after dinner.

I had to stop taking metformin completely as soon as I got my pregnancy confirmed. I was taking it for PCOS and insulin resistance. My dr said I'll probably start taking it after delivery and after I finished breastfeeding.

My doctor told me once i find out im pregnant stop the metformin immediately...

Has anyone taken metformin while pregnant? I am currently on metformin but my doctor told me to stop taking them at 9 weeks, but I am scared to bc I dont want to have a miscarriage. Any thoughts on what I should do?

Hi ladies. have any of you ever had to take metformin? I have been on it only a week now but my body is doing weird things and it is a bit unsettling. At first I thought what I was experiencing was normal but I was researching metformin on line and it said if you have any of these certain symptoms to get emergency medical attention right away because it can be life threatning. It named off many side effects that were normal and were not normal. I had both.

My doctor just placed me on Metformin 500mg for 7 days, and then I will take it twice a day after that. I took my first pill today, and a little while later I got a headache and felt like I had to eat something. The weakness part went away, however I still have a headache. I was wondering how everybody eles' expierence with this medication was and if this really helps.

Hi ladies, starting metformin soon and I was wondering what to expect? I've been looking online and it seems to be a medicine for diabetics although I've seen women talking about it on the forum in the past. I don't have pcos, or endometriosis or diabetes but I have been ttc for almost a year and I am trying to research some things to talk to my doctor about when I go on Friday...I brought up Clomid but my dr. didn't like that idea and my friend said that her doctor put her on metformin (she has pcos though) and if not pregnant in a couple months, she is going on clomid...Does Metformin help you get pregnant?

i am a diabetic, and have been put on metformin due to the fact of me being a diabetic as well as having pcos. i get my AF every month. I was wondering if there is a chance I could get pregnant on it.. I have been trying to conceive for 2 years now. I had stopped taking metformin for awhile because of my stomach hurting when I took it and now I am on 1000mg a day. Any advice is much appreciated. Do you think it will work or what should my next step be?

I took it once in the afternoon and I got really sleepy and slept for about 30 min and then got up and was fine. has anyone else have this happen tot hem? and if i took it at night does it mess with the difference to work.,sry if i just sounded crazy. but not sure how to put it. and I get little headache when i take it..is this normal?

I am on metformin, 500mg x 4 a day. Some say take two, twice a day and some people on my diabetic team say take one per meal. what is the best way to take it? My prescription is saying right now, take two twice a day, and I am confused,,,,how does metformin actually work with meals or bloodsugar management during a day? hi everyone just a wee quick question on people taking metformin,iv been taking it for over 6 months now and i still find that am getting side effects such as nausea and upset tummy,especially as soon as i eat somethin,does it get any easier the longer your on it,sometimes id rather not take it but were ttc, and from what iv read it has helped loads of people lose weight and helped people to conceieve, thanks ladies if u have time to reply.
