Avatar m tn I got operated on 2 years ago on Feb 2008 due to Polycystic Ovaries. My right ovary was removed since it became almost as big as an ostrich egg. I have one ovary left. Here I am two years after.. i found out that my left ovary has cysts again, so I am under medication. Taking pills DIANNE, so I am gaining a lot of weight it is really depressing. so my worries are; 1. Is there anything I can do to stop my weight gain? and 2. (THE REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION) Will I still have babies? I am young.
Avatar f tn this is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome right? I had that and my son is now five years old. My doctor gave me metformin.. I know weird.. but I think it contributed to me getting pregnant aside from all the tests I did. also took three rounds of clomid. HOpe that helps.

Later it was found that it was a benign cystic teratoma, on opening, the cyst thick sebaceous material with tuff of hair was seen. My concern are: 1. Will i get pregnant easily for my second child? 2. Is my other ovary in danger of getting a cyst as well? So for that reason its safer that I should get pregnant right away?

I know one who has this and have been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and is being treated with Metformin - same as used for Type 2 diabetes. She has lost weight and the darkness around her neck and underarms has faded. Have you seen anyone about it? If not, make an appointment with your Health Care Provider and have this checked.
