I am an 18 year old female just recently diagnosed with PCOS and waiting to rule out Cushings syndrome. I was wondering did anyone get diagnosed with B12 deficiency (Pernicious anemia) along with PCOS ?

I have been using Gabapentin myself. Blood sugar levels need to be controlled. I am injecting insulin (U-500). But please ease off Lyrica. It is a bad drug, and highly addictive. Too many side effects.

But also I am taking One a day daily which has 18mcg and that is 300% B12 of the recommended daily value. Do you think I am ruling out this B12 deficiency with this combination?

t have to necessarily manage a b12 deficiency. Do let the neurologist know about your decision as well. My biggest concern if you stay with the neurologist is his/her availability to you. Keep us posted.

Does anyone know what causes severe B12 deficiency and vitamin d deficiency? I am starting 50,000 IU tomorrow (twice a week) and I will start the B 12 shots (twice a week) for probably the rest of my life. MUST READ THIS!!! I was referred to a neurologist for my sudden arm weakness. She asked that in my next blood panel, check the B12 level, it should by in the 500 range. I did and it was 0.83!
