I am going to start the HCG drops. I am type 2, on insulin, metformin and blood pressure meds. It's encouraging to know your blood sugar and blood pressure have improved. I have asked my Dr. what I can do to naturally improve my blood pressure and he said 'Nothing". I know dropping the weight will help the numbers too. I need the help in curbing the food cravings myself. I love food!!

t rupture (one in four will actually rupture, even with an hcg trigger shot). I have been told the number one cause is PCOS and number 2 is endometriosis. I have been on metformin for three weeks now.. can this help with the rupturing of the folllicles? ( LUFS?) since it helps control the number one cause of this in the first place? no, i didn't ovulate on clomid 150mg and metformin 1,000mg, i will call my doctor and see if he can switch me on the injectables. at least i know it can happen just listening to you. good luck with your pregnancy and thanks for the advice.

About a month ago I had my levels checked and am no longer insilin resistant so the metformin is working. From my understaning, when you are insilin resistanct, you have more trouble ovulating-especially on your own. I don't know about hormone levels. I am lucky to have fertility covered 100% by insurance--Blue Cross Blue Sheild of IL HMO/Winn Fertility. I do recieve a statement of what insurance pays every month.

I am also diabetic and i was put on metformin my cycles were also irregular i have been on metformin for 5mths and now my cycles are regular i got pregnant last mnth but had a miscarriage so yes it is very possible im hopin me and my hubby concieve after this cycle so good luck and baby dust to you hun!!

So I was diagnosed with PCOS on Aug 10 after TTC for a year with scattered periods and no luck. I started taking Metformin and was instructed by my doctor to take progesteron if I did not start my period within three weeks. Well three weeks later I wanted to be sure that I was not pregnant before taking the medicine. To my extreme surprise it came out positive. I was so excited because this had never happened before!

My husband and I started trying for another child a year and a half ago. We found out in February that I have PCOS and I was started on Metformin. Well, I just found out last Sunday, July 12th, that I am pregnant. I called my doctor right away and he had me come in for blood tests. The results showed that my hcg was doubling like it should be, up to 3000+ at 5 weeks, but my progesterone level is a 5. He told me he wants it to be at least 11.

i have been taken metformin for pcos for a wile now and i stopped it and started it back a couple weeks ago and for about 4-5 days now my nipples and about 1 inch and half around my nipples is so sore i cant touch them i cant wear a bra or anything i dont know what to do i cant sleep comfy or any thing can any one help me

i havent been this late since before starting metformin. im so bloated, breasts are sore, super tired, nauseated and a pain on my left side... pretty positive its a cyst. is it possible to become immune to metformin and it all of a sudden just stop working??

The spotting may be due to implantation bleeding. Consider consulting your gynecologist for examination and blood HCG test to confirm/rule out pregnancy. Urine pregnancy test may be done but blood HCG tests are more sensitive and accurate in detecting early pregnancy. Do keep us posted. Take care and regards!

I had an HSG to make sure my tubes are open and they are. I had my first round of femara 2.5mg and metformin 500mg last month. Went back to the doc and he said no luck PCOS still in the way. Did a progesterone test and my level was 8.7 some docs say I ovulated some say I didn't I have no clue. AF arrived as to be expected and I did another round at 2.5mg amd metformin 1500mg. Went to the R.E. Specialist yesterday and had a u/s apparenltly femara does not like me at least not 2.5mg.

my fourth round taking clomid 100mg and also metformin 1000 mg. found out that i was pregnant on 9-29-09 but extremely early with having an hcg level at 125. they said that im about 2-3 weeks, i just had another hcg level done two days later on 10-01-09 and it only went up 4 bringing it to 129. im very concerned can someone give me any information. i have to wait now until monday 10-05-09 to get another hcg count. please im worried about a miscarriage.

I also have pcso and was put on metformin and clomid to get preg.. but after my preg I stayed on the metformin bc it made my periods regular... I ended up get preg just by taking the metformin...If u dont want to take the clomid I would stay on the metformin and test next month for ouvlation... I have oulated without the clomid...

Honestly have been fight PCOS but never had a positive pregnancy test. I dont know about any other women i was on clomid and metformin i use to get straight negative and then in october i did one test of pregnancy and it gave me very very faint line. 2nd day i went to pharmacy got it done there and i had a bright line and i was told i am pregnant. i had scan which showed start of pregnancy.

I have had three miscarriages in the past, all within the first tirmesters and I found out all by doing the hcg blood test and finding out that the levels increased as they should and then they started to decrease at a certain point. So, as many of you can imagine I am freaked out all the time (with everything I feel).

To confirm the status of pregnancy I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine pregnancy tests. It might happen sometimes that there are no sufficient levels of HCG and the test may not detect anything. Metformin and a low GI diet and walking are your new religion. Metformin will regulate the cycle after a few months or so, as long as you are on a good diet, and cut out alcohol as well. I have to go for more bloodwork on friday and she did say the numbers can be doubles and be Ok.. I am worried and stressed out just thinking back to sqaure one, does anyone have any insights on this? Can you let me know. Thanks!

t mature? So now she took me off of metformin and I just started avandia. And wheneveer I start my next period she's gonna put me on Femara and an hcg shot. Has anyone had any success with any of these meds??!! Also, since I took clomid this month, is that gonna allow me to start my period without provera? I went to get my HCG and progesteron checked. it was HCG 130 and progesterone 45.8 which is good. But they put me on it just in case. I started seeing a new doctor now and she she is sending me to a specialist for the medicine to see if I really need to keep taking the medication, because it could be harmful to a developing fetus. My appointment is Friday. I am confused and worried about harming my baby. The doctor that prescribed it said I should take it my entire pregnancy.
