I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE).
A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart.
My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE.
Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?
I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2005 because there was very little data available for the drug. After only a few injections i was miraculously cured. However, in 2009 I was told that I never did have hepatitis C or ID have antibodies and I don't have any HCV Antibodies. Why would Merck pharmaceuticals state that I was infected with HCV when in fact I wasn't?
There was no money exchanged or special consideration given to get Vioxx on the market. However, Vioxx is a good example of a study not digging deep enough into long term effects of a new drug. Vioxx was introduced in 1999 and was originally thought of as a treatment for polyps in the intestinal track.
BUT, im mad because i know the dr will tell my dad. And, i cant have that. I dont want my family knowing. Do i have any course of a lawsuit? What do i do? I want to talk to my fam dr but im embarrassed becasue i feel like he wont understand and he will look at me as a dope addict. I never dr shopped, ever. Never.
But this time I am going to ask the GP to try for Gout immediately (VIOXX and/or Allopurinol for Uric Acid/Gout). I notice it seems to reoccur every 5 years.

I will know then if that is EOT or I go for 6 more weeks. The Merck trial presented wonderful results at the ASSLD conference. 97 out of 98 reached SVR. That was a 12 week study but did not include hard to treat such as null responders, cirrhotics and HIV. These new drugs are changing the way Hep C is treated---rapidly. The future looks bright for all of us. Still have a way to go, but I am optimistic about my trial and others.

If there is a lawyer in the area whose done a lawsuit like this, they can steer you in the direction of a knowledgeable doctor with the tramadol and side effects. I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
