10175472 tn?1475365218 The past 2 months my menstrual has lasted longer than 5 days my normal menstrual days . I am now lasting last month 1 week and this month 2 weeks . Would anyone know what might be the cause ?
Avatar m tn i have always had regular periods, lasting 5days on a 28day cycle, but in the last 10 weeks my cycle has suddenly changed dramatically. in the last 10 weeks i have had 5 periods each lasting 7 days, they have all been very heavy and quite painful, with only 7days between each period. what could be causing this? is this normal or could there be something wrong.? will i still be ovulating? could this be a sign of pregnancy? ovarian cancer? or is it normal for this to happen?
Avatar f tn For the majority of women, a shorter-than-average menstrual period is no cause for concern. As women age, their cycles regulate and the days of bleeding may shorten. It's not uncommon for women to have periods lasting only a couple of days. Women who are worried about the decrease in the number of days on their menstrual period should consult their physician. lifestyle of the woman. Stress from work or relationships may cause the bleeding to become more severe or stop sooner than normal.
Avatar f tn I have been on Aviane for almost 2 years. My periods were not like this. I would have blood flow, but light. Lasting 2-3 days....is this normal?
Avatar f tn At your age this can be normal. Some periods are likely to be light, and others heavy. You could also expect it to show up irregularly, so it could show some months and others not. It will regulate itself as you get older.
1633472 tn?1299994363 It can take a couple cycles after a miscarriage for your periods to become regular again. If they are lasting longer its possible you ovulated late and wont show on a pregnancy test yet.
Avatar f tn My periods are very irregular. I do not take any kind of contraceptive. I have had a period for about 7 years or so. For the past 2 years my period has come and gone as it pleases. I would have it one month, usually lasting somewhere between 7 to 12 days when they did come, and it would disappear for 2 to 4 months. I did read that a brownish blood is normal. But I did want to double check. I have "brown" bleeding and currently have a light period.
Avatar f tn For the past two months I have had 2 day light menstrual cycle and before that period I spotted for two weeks straight until my period. I was wondering if this should be something I should be concerned about and yes I am sexually active and not on any birth control. My periods are normally 4-5 days and changed last year.
Avatar n tn i recently got off birth control (3 or 4 months ago) and have had irregular periods ever since. i read this is normal. but my cycle has been lasting around 34 days. last month it was 41 days. this month i am at 43 days and still waiting. is this normal for my cycle to get more unpredictable?
823438 tn?1238591223 Thats actually incorrect. Having PCOS myself and from talking to other moms & women who have PCOS... your periods are heavy and long... not short and light. It could also be an estrogen problem. Are you on birth control?
5803688 tn?1375011747 s always long but light periods. in fact i just use a panty liner during my period. it lasts unti 14 days or two weeks is it normal? i hope you can help me with these. me and my boyfriend is sexually active and we are trying to have a baby for one year. do you think i have a problem? pls helpppp!!!
Avatar m tn Hence it is always best to keep a written record of menstrual cycles and if the irregular periods persist for 3 months, then that is the time to see your doctor. Sometimes a woman can get pregnant and not know, and that can start a bleed after a week.
Avatar n tn Hi there. I am also 7 weeks, nearly 8, and have been having cramps since about 4/5 weeks. No bleeding but they're quite bad (like menstrual ones but lasting longer) and they can wake me up at night. I feel like it's something no-one ever mentioned as a possible symptom but it's practically my only one, and so worrying!
Avatar f tn s a list of what I have and still experience with my periods, worsening/longer lasting PMS symptoms through the years, including worsening of allergies/breast tenderness/emotional issues. Horrible menstrual cramps where I am doubled over, missing events, etc.
Avatar m tn I would certainly want to hear from my patient if she was having periods lasting longer than 10 days for more than one month. Good luck!
949477 tn?1247796031 at most 8mg/day, currently 4mg/day) and my menstrual cycle is all over the place. Last winter, I had 3 periods with 14 days and 10 days between them; all three were fairly heavy, lasting around 5 days. Now, I haven't had a single period since February, and there's no way I have any STD's or am pregnant save by immaculate conception. My weight hasn't changed much one way or the other. I'm 21 and I've never been all that regular, but this seems extreme.
53833 tn?1234996629 re describing is very similar to what I experienced just prior to my FINAL period three years ago. Yes, periods can come every two weeks. The intervals between periods can be long or short. Basically, the cycle becomes really unpredictable and irregular before it ends completely. Not fun, since it seems like you have to carry tampons or napkins/panty liners with you ALL THE TIME, not knowing when it could sneak up on you again.

1490386 tn?1301378586 Does anyone on here that has an underactive thyroid have problems with their periods as well?? My last 2 cycles my periods have been really short only lasting about 3 days and more spotting than anything. I haven't been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid yet. I am still waiting to see a doctor, but I was told by a doctor in the ER that I needed to see an endocrinologist because my thyroid test was border line.
Avatar f tn Since that apt I have not had another vaginal exam so I am not sure how much I have progressed... I am 37 weeks and am having persistent menstrual like cramping all day. Typically they come and go at night.. could this be the onset of labor?
Avatar f tn Over the age of 40, it may be due to the menopause and not having a period for 3 years will mean that your menstrual cycle days are finished. Still see your doctor though to make sure that your period have stopped because of the menopause.
Avatar m tn If this cramping is menstrual sign, then it means i will be seeing my periods 3 times in a month, huh! The thought of seeing my periods is scary! Baby dust on me!!!
