After tubal ligation surgery a woman will have her menses and there are no menstrual changes following tubal ligation since there are no hormonal changes. After tubal ligation the chances of pregnancy are very less but there are chances of failure in any method. Pregnancy is the commonest cause of missed periods. Take up urine pregnancy test. If the test is negative you need to be evaluated for other possibilities like hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, ovulation disorders .
Remar is spot on I agree 100%,,,there is no telling how the surgical menopause may effect you...a simple tubal ligation would be better in my opinion.

This happens in on an average in 5 out of 1,000 women after 1 year. After a total of 5 years following tubal ligation almost 13 out of 1,000 women can become pregnant. Pregnancy may occur if the clips were not placed correctly or a new passage forms that allows an egg to be fertilized by sperm. Ectopic pregnancy can be life threatening if not diagnosed and treated. Consult a gynecologist and get the necessary investigations done.
In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine.
I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day. I suggest you see your ob/gyn to discuss these issues in greater detail.

I am 38 years old. I have 4 children already and had a tubal ligation and novasure. My tubal ligation was in 2007 and novasure was in 2009. I have had nothing but problems with my period since my tubal (hence the ablation).I was bleeding irregularly and very heavy. At one point I bled for almost 3 months very heavily, which is when my doctor and I decided to get my ablation. I continually had problems with my cycle after my ablation.

The delay in your periods can be due to either pregnancy(mainly ectopic) or post tubal ligation syndrome. Tubal ligation is not 100%fullproof for prevention of pregnancy and sometimes pregnancy may occur which may be ectopic in nature.
Post tubal ligation syndrome is also common. It is often the result of a rapid decline of estrogen/progesterone hormone levels caused by the blood supply being decreased to the ovaries during the TL surgery.

It is, but the odds are slim. Many things beyond pregnancy can account for a skipped/delayed period. Take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. At this point it would show accurate results.
A little background info: Four years ago I had a tubal ligation (tubes tied) after having my youngest daughter. I have had normal regular periods all my life and never had break through bleeding in between periods. After I had my first child I never had cramps again.
A few days ago I started bleeding in between periods, but it wasn't normal period blood. It was much lighter red almost pink then it went to light brown, and It only occurred when I wiped after going to the bathroom.
We have been trying to conceive about a year already. I had a tubal ligation reversal done a year ago and I was taking clomid for about 5 months and still nothing. My menstrual has been in regular since I had a tubal ligation reversal. Someone help me find out what's wrong with me. My doctor says to just be patience. What should I do? I am also a type 2 diabetic for 16 years.
