Common Questions and Answers about Menstrual period every 2 weeks

period

Avatar f tn Are you saying your menstrual month (from day 1 of one period to day 1 of the next), is now 2 weeks longer than it used to be but otherwise still regular? Or are you saying that it's adding an additional two weeks each time, such as one month it was 4 weeks and the next it was 6 weeks and then the next it was 8 weeks?
3166367 tn?1343912934 Hi my daughter is a year old and I'm breastfeeding I didn't get my period until she was about 11 months not I am bleeding every 2 weeks plus help
Avatar f tn I am about to be 19 years old and by now I thought my periods would have regulated but I guess not. I get my period approximately every 2 weeks then it will stop for about 40 days then will come back every two weeks. Usually each time it's a heavy flow, starts off by little spotting then will stop and then within the 3rd day it will become very heavy.
564508 tn?1216439561 About getting the periods every 2 weeks for 2 weeks. I was getting my period every other week for 4 weeks. I finally called the doctor and it turns out I wasn't ovulating, which was screwing with my cycle. He figured I wasn't ovulating because I wasn't producing enough of the progesterone hormone. He ended up putting me on a progesterone supplment called Prometrium for 12 days.
Avatar f tn I am 9 weeks 4 days and was just wondering why are the first 2 weeks included if it says that for those 2 weeks you still arent technically pregnant ?
Avatar f tn pls any advice my last period has had me worried i normally use a super tampon and have to change every 4-6 hrs but this last period i had to change every 30m.to a hr and went thru 2 boxes of super tampons ,normally i dont even use all of 1 box ??
Avatar f tn If you were my patient, I would advise you that it is very common to miss a period, or have a late period every now and then. If your pregnancy test is negative and you have taken precautions, you are probably OK. I usually suggest repeating the test weekly until you get your period, or the test is positive. One thing or another should be true within a few weeks at the most. Good luck!
557614 tn?1215665302 as i was about to end my usual 7 day period, i noticed that i started having my period again. so my whole period lasted for about 2 weeks. now i have my period again. this time, i still have menstrual cramps but it occurs almost everyday. sometimes i'd wake up at night or early morning because of pain. if i were to rate the pain from a scale of 1 to 10, i'd rate it as 6. i'm not so sure yet when it's going to end. I'm expecting it to end after 7 days.
Avatar f tn Its definitely possible I have a 28 day cycle as well so I usually would ovulate 2 weeks after the first day of my period(a weeks after your period stops) and sperm can live for days so its definitely possible

Avatar f tn I recently started testing for ovulation with the ovulation test kits and I noticed that I ovulate 1 to 2 days before my period. Can I still get pregnant? My periods only last between 5 to 6 days.
Avatar f tn Can u get pregnant again while pregnant? I am 14 weeks preggers and I missed my period 2 weeks ago, I still have morning sickness :( How would that work?
Avatar f tn So I had my last menstrual period on the 2 of Nov. I haven't gotten my menstrual period for the pas 2 months I did 2 pregnancy test and both came out negative wht should I do???
Avatar m tn I usually do have breast tenderness before my period begins, but usually only 2-3 days before it starts. I had unprotected sex again on the 15th October and took Postinor-2 within 12 hours as well. Breast is still tender. So is there anything I should be alarmed of, say, possibility of pregnancy? I know that Postinor-2 is not supposed to be consumed frequently, but is it true that the maximum dosage is twice per month? Did I misinterpret it? Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn s menstrual related, but looking back over the last few months it seems to be - I have 2 good weeks at a time followed by 2 bad weeks at a time, and usually the bad weeks are around my period. BTW: I am currently breastfeeding - I am weaning off of that, though this started at about 8 months post-partum and I wasn't weaning at the time. Thanks for any input.
7963483 tn?1406809424 I went to the doctor at 28 weeks and they told me that I will start seeing my doctor every 2 weeks now
Avatar f tn Technically fetus age is 2 weeks shorter than pregnancy age bc they start counting pregnancy age from ur last period and count fetus age from ovulation so if u are 8 weeks pregnant ur fetus age is 6 weeks
Avatar n tn I have been having my period every 2 weeks for at least 6 weeks now. Probably longer, I think it took me a couple times to clue in. It is a completely regular period. I have never had mensturation problems, always had a completely regular cycle. I am not on birth control. I can't take birth control, it gives me blood clots in my legs. It seems like ever since that happened, I just keep coming up with odd symptoms. I have also been diagnosed as having subclinical hyperthyroid for now.
Avatar f tn t get my period for another 2 weeks. I only bled for one day, and the flow was like a light period (not spotting, blood was red not brown). I should actually be ovulating right now. I know that some times things like stress or the amount of hormones in foods or a flux in hormones can cause menstruation to be abnormal, so I chalked it up to that but I looked it up online just to be sure.
Avatar m tn I got no period for 4 years. Now go back to Perimenopause because my period comes every month. I'm 55 now.
Avatar f tn So I'm 36 weeks but I will be induced on Oct 14 and 15th I also have been having menstrual like cramps. To where it ranges from being really mild to really bad. As long as you haven't had a change in discharge or odor then you shouldn't have an infection, since those can cause it. So as long as it's not an infection you don't need to worry. My Dr said it's most likely the position the baby is in.
