menstrual cycle very light flow

My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out. I want to ask everyone out there what they thought. Please help!

Friends I know last a couple days and theirs are very light, my ones friend is obese and the other normal weight I guess, so I don;t think weight is a problem. I'm not obese, just a little overweight and I'm 18 years old.

Last summer, I go back to my home country and manage to regain my regular cycle (heavy flow for 3 days , then getting lighter to the end, the whole period usually takes around 1 week) on July and August. However, on September, my period become very light and shortened into 4 days. My period cycle used to be every 29 days, then it went to every 38 days and now it comes when it wants to. Sometimes they are very heavy and sometimes they are very light, sometimes it is just spotting. I have went to the dr numerous times and I was told it is nothing to worry about. If you are to worried got to a local women's center or local health dept and get an exam done. I wouldn't worry about it though.

If you started your period on the 14th i would say your probably not pregnant and your period just came a couple days early. If your spotting and the bleeding is very light and not like a normal period, it could be implantation bleeding which happens around the time of your normal period. Id start by taking a pregnancy test. If it comes up negative and your still unsure, wait a week and take another one. If its negative again and your still concerned, call your doctor and request a blood test.

If you were my patient, I would repeat the pregnancy test approx 7 days after the first one, unless your menstrual flow picks up to the normal amount. The urine pregnancy tests are quite good, and since you are now late for your cycle, if you are pregnant, they should be able to detect the HCG. If a neg urine test and still no menses, I would then repeat the blood test.

m really paranoid because I read that some women mistaken their implantation bleeding as their menstrual bleeding and some of them are also experiencing light flow when implantation happens. I think Im really just paranoid.

implanation bleeding is usually just a lil spotting or light flow of pink or brown discharge or blood. not like a menstrual cycle. also cramping is usually light to moderate but not usually severe. everyone is different though so take a test to assure yourself if it'll make you feel better.
