Avatar f tn ve been reading a lot about endometriosis, and it has a lot of the same symptoms that you are mentioning...all in all these are just things that I heard about, so PLEASE GO SEE A DOCTOR ASAP, because those symptoms are very serious and whatever the diagnosis is, as we all know if we catch it early it will definitely help you out a ton. Good Luck and keep us posted on what happens, AGAIN PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR.
Avatar n tn it can be very painful and cause many cysts. A sonogram can determine if you have endometriosis Some symptoms are heavy bleeding during your menstrual cycle and also bad debilatating cramps before and after your period. Good Luck ...
Avatar n tn I am 28 years old. I have never seen a menstrual cycle. When I was 18 years old I was put on premarin. A couple of months later I saw what I thought was my period for like 3 days, after that never saw it again. I haven't benn to a doctor ever again. Am I damaged goods? What should I do?
Avatar f tn There is a definite corelation. I have fewer symptoms of both the menstrual symptoms and the IBS symptoms when I am careful about what I eat. This means no caffeine, dairy, gluten, sugars or other things that are known to upset the system. I would think that this would be especially true of someone with endometriosis. I may not know a lot about it, but I do understand it's miserable.
3166367 tn?1343912934 You said that you are getting your cycle every 2 or 3 weeks? is that correct? If so pls pls go to an ER and let them know this... I ignored it for 2 months ( my cycle was coming every 2 weeks) and after that I went to the ER. They did an unltrasound and discovered a tumor ( I myself had been trying to conceive as well) Well that tumor turned out to be an Immature Teretoma. grade 3 stage 3.. a very rare form of ovarian cancer.
Avatar f tn I'm a 31 year old mother of 4 boys ages 13 11 8 & 3. My menstrual cycle has never been the typical "28 day cycle". Even birth control made it worse at times. I decided last year in October to get off birth control because I didn't like the effects it had on my body. Once off the birth control I didn't have a menstrual cycle until March. Since then my cycle has lasted for two weeks at a time sometimes more. This month I've been on it for 30 days. And heavy!
Avatar f tn I hope this helps! Irritable Bowel Syndrome Menstrual like cramping during exercise may be related to irritable bowel syndrome. Symptoms include severe abdominal cramps, which can occur at any time. Hypothyroidism occurs when your thyroid is underactive and does not make enough thyroid hormone. The symptoms include excessively painful cramping before and during your menstrual period.
Avatar f tn Like all hormone therapies and surgery, birth control hormones do not cure endometriosis. However, they can relieve endometriosis symptoms and are likely to slow the growth of endometriosis. Also, birth control pills improve endometriosis and menstrual pain and bleeding for most women.
1437126 tn?1284099058 I now shift to homeopathic treatment and to my surprise I was pain free during the menstrual cycle. I searched from the internet and found many websites and blogs saying Endometriosis is cause due to secondary dysmenorrhea. Will endometriosis be cured if secondary dysmenorrhea is the root cause?
Avatar f tn She has many other symptoms such as blurred vision, hot an cold flashes, cold extremities, insomnia, migraines, nausea, vomiting, continuous menstrual bleeding and continuous cramping. I may have missed a couple more symptoms, there are so many! She has so much abdominal pain from her cycle that she is vomiting a lot. We have seen our GP and an OB/GYN and we have tried 3 different birth control pills to try and stop her period and also the DEPOT shot which so far has not helped.
Avatar f tn I'm wondering if my doctors have diagnosed me incorrectly. First my doctors thought I had issues with my gallbladder and I was sent for an ultrasound which came back fine, then a ct scan which also was fine. I've had two full blood panels done which were both perfect. I did test positive for c diff which is an infection in your intestines which I am thinking is making my primary doctor and my GI doctor chalk everything else up to c diff.
Avatar n tn I can think of two possibilities--the first being endometriosis, as you suspect. Endometriosis symptoms typically flare around the time of the period and then get better for awhile until the next cycle. It can affect the bladder, can cause spotting, and can cause pelvic pain and cramping. The only way to confirm the diagnosis of endometriosis is to do a laparoscopy.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure about there being any signs.. I would think if you had scar tissue in there or some sort of blockage you might experience some discomfort or pain during ovulation time. That's not a guarantee though. I have horrible pains during ovulation time because I have cysts like crazy and also endometriosis. I wished I could be of more help. I looked it up and this is what I found....
20000695 tn?1488217942 I am perplexed with the length in which these symptoms last. Two weeks prior of my menstrual cycle, I start to experience abrupt feelings of sadness, depression, or anxiety; sometimes there are reasons for them (whatever it is that elicits these feelings doesn't bother me as much on a regular day), other times, there is no actual reason, it's just a strong pang of hopelessness or anxiety.
1414894 tn?1288769040 The body produces progesterone at certain times of the menstrual cycle, causing the womb lining to flourish. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the womb lining by the end of the monthly menstrual cycle, the levels of progesterone in the body decrease. This causes the body to shed the womb lining (a menstrual ‘period’). If a fertilized egg successfully attaches to the womb lining by the end of the monthly cycle, progesterone levels in the body remain high.
1343283 tn?1300898264 Anyway, i am currently 4 dpo and i was wondering when others have seen prehancy symptoms start? i know i am too early right now and that everyone is different. i guess this is my way of dealing with the 2ww ;) thanks!
628735 tn?1273875777 Because hormones cause endometriosis to go through a cycle similar to the menstrual cycle, hormones can also be effective in treating the symptoms of endometriosis. In fact, if a woman’s symptoms do not respond to hormone therapy, health care providers may go over their diagnosis of endometriosis again, to make sure she really has the condition.
