Avatar f tn My cycle is usually every 30 to 34 days with my period lasting about 7 days. My last period ended April 27th. Can someone please tell me when my ovulation occurs and when I am highly fertile. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Also, when is your menstrual cycle due? If soon or it has pasted, I would take a HPT like someone above mentioned. Symptoms can mean absolutely nothing.
Avatar f tn Hope it helps The appearance and texture of cervical fluids will change as you move through your menstrual cycle. Also, the quantity of cervical mucus present is also a key sign: When you are most fertile, CM should be quite abundant. Texture: During your cycle, cervical mucus may be absent or profuse, dryish or wet, thick or thin, sticky or slippery. It may "hold its shape" or it may stretch between your fingers like raw egg-white.
5150005 tn?1366426387 The better your reproductive education is, the more protected you are. Look up the menstrual cycle, from day 1 of bleeding to day 1 of bleeding the next time. You'll find ovulation in the middle. Look up cervical mucus, too. It's all there.
Avatar f tn The consistency and amount are dependent on the physiological hormone changes in the menstrual cycle. It contains the glycoprotein mucin, amino acids, sugar, enzymes, and electrolytes, with a water content up to 90%.
Avatar f tn t think you would be pregnant. having your period is an indication that your menstrual cycle is still going. your menstrual cycle would stop if you were pregnant. good luck!
Avatar f tn I had an IUD removed on 22/3/11 and have just started my menstrual cycle 15/4/11. My cycles were not consistent when I had the IUD in - so it is difficult to know how long my cycles are or to pinpoint when I was ovulating. I will be checking to see how long this current cycle is, along with BBT and Ovulation tests (saliva tests) to help pinpoint my approximate ovulation time.
Avatar f tn A woman typically ovulates about midway through the cycle. Therefore in a 28 day cycle a woman will ovulate ~day 14. Since your cycle is longer you will probably ovulate around day 17 or 18. To help detect when you ovulate you can try a number of techniques. Two relatively easy ways are to track your basal body temperature, or use an ovulation (or LH) detector kit. Once you have an idea of when you are ovulating you can then time intercourse accordingly.
Avatar m tn I wiped myself and noticed blood, bright red. as the day progressed i later noticed mucus along with the bleeding. Im not sexually active with my boyfriend. the only thing we have been involved in is oral sex, or hand job. im afraid i may not have cleaned myself well after he ejaculated. i also have no other symptoms. please help. i know it may sound stupid but im afraid to be pregnant.
Avatar n tn It could also be cervical mucus that has old blood in it. Since one of the jobs of cervical mucus that's not fertile is to clean the area out. So if there's old blood your body will produce it to clean. It's kind of the same thing as the mucus in your noise. Some thing gets in there that's not supposed to so your noise produces mucus to expell it.
1859662 tn?1320091625 There are many different types of vaginal discharge, one of which is cervical mucus. Over the course of your menstrual cycle, the amount, color, and texture of your cervical mucus will change, thanks to fluctuating hormone levels. Checking your cervical mucus and keeping track of these changes can help you figure out when you're ovulating. Here's what to expect throughout your cycle. Beginning with your period, you'll of course have menstrual blood.
593967 tn?1225104736 there are a few different ways, I usually get a sharp pain on my side. other ways are Basil body temp, cervical mucus, counting days depending on your cycle length. below is the change in cervical mucus through your cycle. if you don't have a lot of mucus then this may be difficult go by. there are a lot of things that can affect the amount of cervical mucus. Avatar f tn That happens (in a normal 28-day cycle) something like at least half of the days, or even almost all of them. Eggwhite cervical mucus happens only one, two, or at most three days out of the menstrual month. It is an indicator that you are about to ovulate (produce an egg). After you ovulate, in about two weeks, a period comes. The function of the first, thin kind of mucus, is to clean your vagina, and to block the entry of sperm.
Avatar f tn the dampness is due to cervical mucus whose quantity of discharge keeps on changing with the phases of the cycle(i.e; menstrual phase, follicular phase, ovulatory phase and luteal phase of the menstrual cycle).. a mild odor which you said vaginal odor is there because of this cervical mucous but if it's very strong it might be due to infection.. don't worry it's absolutely normal.. good luck..
Avatar f tn It started about 3 to 4 months after my daughter was born. I assumed that I had this mucus in place of my menstrual cycle because I breastfeed. However, it has continued even though my cycle has returned (irregularly for 5 months). The mucus appears constantly (not just a week long like my cycle). How much mucus is too much? What is the importance and/or cause of mucus in urine (and discharge)? Thanks!
Avatar f tn My menstrual cycle is extremely irregular. I had constant flow for about 2.5 months, Januay-March. I had a regular period in early April and have not had one since. My husband and I are trying to conceive baby #2, our son is 1 year old. We have not had any luck conceiving, which is frustrating because we've been trying since our son was about 3 weeks old.
Avatar f tn I'm 33/34 weeks (dr. says 33 according to last menstrual & ultrasound tech says 34). I just went to the bathroom & when I wiped there was a light yellow snotty looking stuff on toilet paper. Could this have been part of mucus plug or does discharge sometimes look like this? I have no discomfort, itching, or burning, like I might have infection.
Avatar f tn I have been having my menstrual cycle for over a month now and it's starting to smell like metal or iron. I also have this pain on my right side. It's not a heavy flow but it's messing with my lifestyle. What should I do?
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
